I was impressed by Pac's performance over Margarito. But, Marquez is beating these young, hungry fighters, on will and skill. And he is doing it at 37 years old. So, he gets the nod from me.

Katsidis who? the one who leads with his head and doesnt throw punches till his head is just inches away from JMMs head? great comparison!! Pac and Marg would have taken that head off.

You know.. some people actually had Katsidis to win... who had Marg to win against Pacquiao?... We all knew Pacquiao would tap that around the ring...

I got mad respect for both Manny and JMM, but I think Katsidis was more of a live dog that night then Margo was.

Ludicrous to even compare...the manner in which Margo, who was in the best shape of his life with a stellar career, was beaten has now become the stuff of legend, even cursory perusal of serious scribes, even old octogenarians who had seen em all in the modern era, would easily confirm. Even repub senator, after the fight, is joking about erecting a statue of Manny at the border to ward off border jumpers...not one is contemplating a Marquez statue to ward off unwanted Aussie from swimming to Mexico are they?

I thought Margarito may end up being too big for Pac. However, I was sure Marquez would win.

That being said; Katsidis fought much better than I expected him to...

So the expectation was that Pac could have problems with Margarito and that Marquez would destroy Katsidis. But the Margarito that showed up was no match for Pac and the Katsidis that showed up was a beast...

I voted for Pac because of the impressions I had before each fight; but based on the fight themselves I think Marquez should be given more credit...

Now I wish I could change my vote.

Katsidis was coming into the fight with Marquez with momentum.

Rockgloves hadn't had a significant win in years, was coming off of a one year lay-off minus his inconsequential ten-rounder with Roberto Garcia, had his chin cracked by Shane Mosley and was stopped in nine brutal rounds in his last serious fight, and is known as a walking punching bag.

Marquez fought a fresher opponent and notched the better win.

Aside from height/weight, what threat did Rockgloves pose? Absolutely none. Defeating a bigger body doesn't make the win great.

JMMs victory if you consider th odds. But thats more due to the fact that Pacquiao is so good now that top 10 WWs have zero chance of winning. Even if outweighed by close to 20 lbs.

To put it in perspective PAc would have been a 20 to 1 favorite against Katsidis.
