I personally think Fury because he did it in Germany with not much people giving him a chance. Joshua would have to Ko Vlad early with 6 for me to consider giving him more praise than Fury. Fury embarrassed Vlad in my opinion he destroyed mentally, anyone who beats Vlad now is benefiting off Tyson's victory. This is coming from someone who was asking for Fury to be stripped 2-3 months ago.
Got to be fury bearing in mind klitchko had been undefeated for years at the time...with few giving him many problems.
In complete agreement, for him to mentally torture a 10 year unified champion is stuff you tell your kids about, shame he was one of the worst champions following that win but nevertheless best win in the heavyweight since Douglas vs Tyson.
There were 133 punches landed in the Fury vs Wlad match. Fury landed 12 more punches on Wlad than Haye who was mocked for being a *****. If Joshua wins and it's a fight anyone would rewatch in it's entirety without financial incentive he deserves more credit.
It wasn't Fury's fault that Vlad didn't throw, in the 12th when Vlad did you saw Fury throw back, when a fighter has his hands behind his back and you don't hit him that's on you.
Surely if you can defeat someone so easily on the scorecards by doing so little that deserves more credit. I mean, you would deserve criticism for being boring, but in actual fact you'd deserve credit for winning so widely. Mayweather was rated as the world's best fighter, pound for pound, in recent years for doing very little and winning widely.
I agree with you but I see the other side of the coin where one can say if Fury won when vlad swung back then that would mean he beat Vlad at his best, but with that being said Fury was the reason Vlad was not at his best just by the subtle things he did.
Of course it's not. Frampton gets more credit for beating Santa Cruz in a war than being gifted 7 rounds against a passive Quigg. Fury vs Wlad was almost as bad as Haye vs Valuev. If Joshua wins in an entertaining fight he will deserve more credit than Fury.
Frampton gets more credit for beating Cruz coz he wasn't favourite in that fight whereas he was for the Quigg fight. Fury made Vlad hesitant to throw, read my post above I can see your point but ultimately for me Fury is the better win coz he wasn't favourite to win and he did it away from home comfortably whereas Joshua is doing it in his backyard as the favourite.
Vlad will probably knock Joshua out and I am sure he would have knocked Fury out in the rematch, there is a reason for such..............
It doesn't matter how exciting or devastating AJ (or anyone else) might hypothetically beat Wladimir Klitschko in the future, it is very unlikely to be comparable to what Fury did in Germany. Wladimir may have been over-the-hill - and he looked a bit that way against Jennings - but he hadn't lost in 11 years and was rated head-and-shoulders-above the rest of the field of heavyweights. Fury beat "THE MAN". Now, Wladimir is just another heavyweight, and an old one at that. Unless he wins several credible fights in a row to re-establish himself (which is unlikely), beating him will never mean as much as it did a year ago.
I would liken this conversation to a 15 year old girl you meet in school when you are a 15 year old boy. What is more impressive deflowering her the first time, and taking her virginity. Or is it, getting a drunken lay from her when she is 28 years old and she has already been banged 1000 times by 25 other men. I think we know the answer to this question. Fury took Wlads 10 year virginity away- very impressive. If Wlad is beaten again by AJ- thats just another lay- not impressive.
Fury did it first, so really it should be him. Plus, AJ is more likely to KO Wlad than outpoint him which would normally be more impressive but I think it's been proving that - generally speaking - when Wlad loses it's a stoppage
Only in this case the girl lied about being a virgin because she had already gave it up to Lamont Brewster and Corrie Sanders. And the 15 year old stumbled about with bra straps, struggled to get it in and shot his load completely miserably while the girl lay still like a corpse. Then bottled the second date. Maybe the 28 year slapper would be memorable.
