I'm not trying to hate on Marquez/Katsidis or downplay their fight, but Pacquiao-Mayweather is a clash between the two best fighters in the sport with both fighters in their prime.

NOTHING else comes close.

Montiel-Donaire is a distant second, followed by Martinez-Williams, Bradley-Alexander, and Khan-Maidana.

No. And no with Bradley-Alexander and Khan-Maidana. Both great match-ups, but neither have the potential to be as great as JMM-Katsidis.

 

Yep, Mayweather will make the fight his fight and a cruise to a safe UD. But that's the thing, it's not anticipated for its potential to be a FOTY. Instead it's being hyped for the significance it carries, which probably out-does JMM/Katsidis a thousand times over.

But like you say, **** them. Bring on the other fights in November/December.

Honestly guys, I was going to thoroughly enjoy that beatdown that is going to come, Marquez over Katsidis.
There is just no two ways about it, Marquez is simply in a class well beyond that of Katsidis.

.......now instead of enjoying the fight, I'm just going to feel very badly for Katsidis who I know will want it very badly for his brothers memory.:?

Hopefully, Katsidis will be fine and proud of just giving it everything he has even if it happens to be in a losing effort.


To Katsidis......as long as he gives it his best effort, there is no shame in losing, and surely his brother will be looking looking over him and proud of him for it.:good

Yeah, that's gonna be quite a day. Since Abraham-Froch is on tape-delay in the States on Showtime, I'll catch it live online and then watch the HBO triple-header while DVRing the Showtime broadcast for Ward-Bika. Can't wait.
