Who got a stronger chin, Wlad or Peter?

Samuel Peter has the better chin.

He was knocked down 3 times by Jameel McCline, but did take huge power shots from Wladimir for 12 rounds. That's very impressive. Additionally, Peter has not been KO'd or TKO'd. Wladimir has been 3 times and has also been down more times than Peter.

 

Wlad has been knocked down 11 times and has been TKO'd 3 times, he was knocked down or out by these following fighters, Pannell, Williamson, Peter, Brewster, and Sanders. This shouldnt even be a question, Wlads chin is glass compared to Peters, who has only been down 3 times in his career.

of course peter's is better. mccline has some power, you got to admit that. wlad could never take his own shots so peter has the better chin.

But I still say Peter's chin is overrated, as is his power.

 

Agreed - his chin has a lot of questions now and his power is less effective at the top level.

 

I agree...did you notice in the McCline fight...once the ref warned losing a point for punches in the back of the head...Peter was much less affective with his right...he loves to punch with the over hand right to the back of the head during clinches.

Like I have said over and over....I dont think Peter has been the same fighter since the Wlad fight

 

His power is awesome, but he can't put punches together for ****, he can't even throw a good straight right hand down the pipe.
His explosiveness is lacking too, but his clubbing power is probably the best out there, but who is he going to club? Yanqui Diaz? Williamson?
He won't club the best heavyweights out there, he's got to be able to put punches together to knock any of the good out there.
He'll probably lose to Maskaev, because Maskaev can actually put punches together, however, if he's shot.. he'll probably get clubbed and retire.

 

Mccline was just as dirty in that fight, he was leaning in with his head butting Peter and also hit on the break twice. There is no such thing as a clean boxing match, just like there was never a Baskaetball game without a foul.

 

Samuel Peter definitely.

all kidding aside that is a very fair assessment. Wlad has a C chin. Peter has a B/B- chin

 

Wlad went down from glancing Peter shots, he was out ob his feet against Sanders after getting a 14 second count and hen fell down again without another punch landing. If Wlad had taken a clean close in shot that McCline put Peter down with for the 2nd kd he would no way make it back to his feet, it was amazing that Peter got up from that one.
