So we all know AJ got destroyed and DW was outclassed 9 out 12 rounds against Fury but who truly got exposed?
Wilder didn't get exposed, he did his job and knocked out Fury for 10. If Mike Griffin was officiating the Wilder fury fight, Fury would not have seen the final bell, because Mike Griffin is a professional that follows the rules of boxing, where as Jack 'I care about Tyson Fury' Reiss had his own agenda.
We already knew he wasn't a skilled operator, unless you just crawled out from under a rock to post that. That said Wilder acquitted himself as well as expected.
I knew wilder couldn’t box , but since Fury is so overrated and he def wasn’t 100% when he fought wilder , I was expecting wilder to win some rounds , but he looked stupid. Of course I voted Joshua as he got exposed for real , but wilder also proved that he is extremely poor operator.
Ortiz outboxed Wilder, so did szpilka, which makes this thread redundant casual Oh and WIlder never quit!
There is no comparison and any attempt to do so is only a poorly disguised way of throwing shade at Wilder. Joshua was beaten and owned by Ruiz that made people wonder if Ruiz had ownership papers on him. On the other hand, Fury was knocked clean out and was aided and abetted by a sympathetic ref and good drugs.
Both lost pretty badly but when you own the show and you don't get ko'd you reward the away guy with a draw.. Wilder's loss wasn't as big a surprise as AJ for me.. I thought AJ was the real deal I knew Wilder had power so AJ for me got exposed. In saying this I won't be making any decisions to the rematch...
This is a perfect counter example to the phrase "there are no stupid questions". Some are calling Ruiz's win the biggest upset since Tyson vs Douglas, not since Fury vs Wilder.
Joshua got comprehensively beaten down by a morbidly obese man no one gave a chance to. Wilder got outboxed by a top class opponent whom many people thought were finished but who'd previously outboxed the greatest HW on the planet and was a proven commodity. It taught us nothing about Wilder we didn't already know. So even if you hate Wilder's guts (as I do) the answer is a no brainer.
Let's see ... one guy scored two knockdowns and successfully defended his WBC title for the eighth time against an undefeated lineal champ. The other guy got floored four times and quit in his corner against one of the biggest underdogs in boxing history. Hmm? Let's see? The only person who got exposed was you for starting this thread.
