It's really a shame how the Kirkland fight ended- the final rounds would have been very interesting (stupid Texas boxing commission)
Kirkland was making it interesting at the end of his fight and the ref blew it for both fighters. Rios got a boxing clinic put on him for 12 ****ing rounds, he was beaten and exposed badly.
Rios, Molina wasn't a pro spoiler like Abril, who was schooled in the art of ***** since his young amateur days, if Molina would have spent his whole life in the amateurs doing this, and practicing this ***** style, Krikland wouldn't have anything to do, also the ref was more lenient to abril never really told him to stop... but yeah RIOS definitely schooled worse by this ***** style of Abrils.
Kirkland won at least 1 of the first 9, and it wouldn't be a stretch to say 2 of the first 9, plus earned a 10-8 round in the 10th with a legit KD. Kirkland was fighting the Ring #6 JMW. Rios lost to the point that it would be a big stretch to say he won 3 rounds. Rios was fighting the Ring #10 LW with a 2 pound over the contract weight advantage.
