Who got the meanest and most intimating stare down out of this list?

Benn.

Tyson was never scarey to me. Would I say that if I was standing opposite him in the ring? Yes I think so but can't be sure.

Benn would've petrified me. He was so explosive and filled with hate/bad intent.

 

Probably Tyson followed by Nigel Benn. Even Chris Eubank admitted he was terrified of Nigel Benn

 

Tommy Hearns for me.

Tyson, Benn, both manufactured. Tommy has the eyes of a psychopath, completely dead. Even Duran admitted he just couldn't look into Tommy's eyes.

 

The Calzaghe picture had me going.

I guess Tyson or Foreman. Tyson actually rarely stared guys down during the prefight staredown. Yeah he did it on occasion, as showed in the documentary, but if you watch all his fights you would see that it was the exception and not the norm.

A guy that isn't listed that was a scary ugly looking mofo was Ron Lyle.

 

Tyson.. Wladamir's is pretty mean though.. looks so cold and emotionless.. and vitali: watch in the staredown when Briggs starts jumping up and down and vitalis eyes just follow him.. like a terminator or something lol

Wlad is scary from the perspective that he sees the opponents in front of him as another violent KO to come.

 

It's Hearns or Foreman.

Tyson never really got that involved in staredowns.

you know that he is there to beat you down slowly and then ko you. you know he has big power but not one punch power and you also know that he can throw 1000 punches in 12 rounds.

and he is sadistic.

Sheldon needed a better analogy. Tyson would have scared the $#it out of a puma.

 

Hearns deserves an honorable mention though. Anyone who scares Duran can't be underestimated. That was the first time Duran didn't **** on his opponent during referee instructions.

 

Haarns and Liston were the best to me.

 

Lewis and Calzaghe didn't do a mean stairdown. I voted for Foreman back in the 70's. He scared the hell out of people then. Tyson would be the 2nd. 2 People I think beat the rest on this list are Liston and Vitali. They both had the "I'm going beat you and then **** your relatives" look to them. Golota has his own aspect as he seemed nuts and unhinged.

 

Foreman and Hearns looked like they wanted to kick your ass and go home like it was nothing.

Tyson looked like he wanted to rip your head off and degrade you as a person. Bat **** crazy. He wins.
