Haye beat Valuev emphatically? Landing one punch that wobbles someone doesn't make a whole fight of nothing, emphatic.
Says it cannot display the pic LOL So it must be BS I guess lol Every word I posted was 100% true Sorry you cannot claim Lennox for Canada
That doesn’t mean anything though. Athletes represent all kinds of countries for various reasons - that doesn’t make them citizens or ethnically/culturally originating from that country. Bugner was born and raised in Hungary, his parents fled the Soviet occupation of Hungary in 1956 - that was the sole reason Bugner got to the UK in the first place. Ever since then, the Brits have been trying to claim Bugner is British, yet Bugner himself never said he was British or that he was not Hungarian. You can become a naturalised citizen, but that still doesn’t mean you are from that country. Being a resident and having a cultural and national identity are very different things. Same deal with Lewis. He himself never claimed he was Canadian and not British with a Jamaican heritage. There’s a reason he never represented Canada as a professional. If he had a strong Canadian identity, he would have kept representing the country as a professional. But he hasn’t so he didn’t. He always liked Canada, but never considered himself a Canadian. He said so himself: “Jim Cornall, Canada but originally English:Now that I live in Canada, you are usually here referred to as: "Canadian Lennox Lewis who now lives in England." How do you feel about this? Do you consider yourself completely English now? Lennox Lewis: I have always been English, ever since I emigrated from England and since the kids in Canada beat me up at the age of twelve for having an East London Cockney accent. I thank them for the cockney taunts because the beatings turned me on to boxing. But on a serious note Canada has been kind to me.” This content is protected
The mods should sticky this post so everyone can see how stupid a human being can possibly be. This man has just claimed that a fighter who was undisputed in two divisions and has wins against the likes of Iron Mike Tyson, Riddick Big Daddy Bowe, Larry the Easton Assasin Holmes and Big George Foreman had a terrible career.
I didn't forget anything. You literally quoted a post of mine where I brought up "he missed his best years." Ali should've retired after the third Frazier fight, and I agree. BUT he didn't. Lewis should've retired after the Vitali Klitschko fight, AND HE DID. Why should we give Ali bonus points for continuing to fight and looking unimpressive or really bad a lot of the time when he did? Lewis was the same age when he regained the title from Rahman as Ali was when Ali regained the title from Spinks. They both had two fights after that. In Ali's two fights, he lost to Holmes by stoppage, never winning a round. And Ali lost to Berbick in another embarrassment. In Lennox's last two fights, he beat up and destroyed Mike Tyson and he tore the whole side of Vitali's face off and stopped him in six. You can bring up (like you just did) that Ali missed his best years. But fans in the future aren't going rate guys based on fights THEY DIDN'T HAVE. They're going to look at the fights and rate guys according to how they actually fought. It's already happening. You see it when new fans watch Ali fights and they go on boards and comment on how they don't see what everyone else sees and how they thought he lost this fight or that one that the judges awarded him. Like I've said over and over, I won't be surprised in the years ahead if Lewis ends up rated above Ali. Especially as boxing becomes more popular internationally and the US exercises less influence. Lewis had a great career. Arguably the best ever - from his last amateur fight (a stoppage win over a Hall of Fame heavyweight champ) to his last pro bout (a stoppage win over a Hall of Fame heavyweight champ). He beat everyone he fought and retired on top. That's kinda good.
Holyfields record isn’t as good as Lewis’s but mate your being ridiculous. How can you call Holyfields career terrible?
