But if your on this site voicing an opinion, you must expect a rebuttal if someone disagrees with you and have a different opinion and convey that disagreement in an intelligent and truthful manner. I myself respect others opinions though I may disagree with them other than Reds. Also. Sometimes personal dislikes for certain boxers ( like mine with Mayweather jr) sometimes clouds an opnion and looking and hearing someone else's opnion may make one (me) look at a fighter from a different angle, and give a fairer assessment of said fighter. And thats one of the basic functions of this site of a sport we all love if your here. Right?
Monzon. Not to say Hagler didn't have a good jab but Monzon is on the next level. Hagler did some other stuff better.
Monon's jab was slow, more like a paw Both Marvin, and Tommy had better jabs and caused more damage. Whose face did Monzon ever open up with a jab
Hagler became one of my adopted Philly warriors because of his willingness to travel here and fight in a hostile environment. I do think he was the better fighter (narrowly). But in the context of jab I just don’t think he utilized and relied on it to the degree that Monzon did. Monzon could dictate and control a whole fight based on the jab more than Hagler did. Maybe Hagler IMO superior skill set hides or disguises an equal or superior jab...I just think Monzon had an ATG jab, and I don’t think of Hagler in that same light
