    Zaggers :campeon:

That said, Golovkin is plenty enough badass in one package to see off Popkins and to put him to bed :eaea:

I do agree with alot of this.

I have never seen anything about Golovkin really wanting a Froch fight. I saw an interview where Golovkin mentioned something about Froch later in his career if he went up in weight but not anything to say there was a firm offer to Froch.
Golovkin is a MW and doesnt have to face SMWs if he can safely make MW

This is beyond dispute Odin. Calzaghe has the greater wins. Undefeated Kessler and Eubank are arguably greater than any of Hopkins wins and Calzaghe has those as well as the Hopkins win

That is very true. I think Golovkins resume would be far more arguable had he got Martinez when champ, Quillin when undefeated MW champ, Saunders, Eubank Jnr.
I think Golovkin was after those fights and dont think Golovkin would have shied away from those fights at MW.
Im writing this with Golovkin also having beaten Canelo

On the possibility of Golovkin v Froch next year, Sanchez gave his view on what weight the fight could happen after figures in the region of 170 or 172 pounds were mentioned in the media.

“We will convene as the GGG Team and see what our options and what Gennady would be willing to give up (weight-wise).

“Froch is still huge in the UK, and his losses are not the retiring type. Let’s see if Tom (Loeffler) and Eddie (Hearn) can come up with something that works for both,” he added.

Golovkin has always been open to fighting between 154 and 168 pounds in the past, whilst Sanchez didn’t rule out facing Froch even though the contest could fall outside that initial category.

It’s no secret Golovkin has longed for the Froch encounter for some time, although a meeting with ‘The Cobra’ as he’s pushing 40 may not tick every box with the fans."

If Froch wanted the fight it was there. It would have been megabucks all round

if only you observed and understood as well as you read, you'd be able to offer a more relevant answer.

Because I got you 100%, but you are 0% aware of that.

Who is next thats better than Jermaine Taylor - Sylvester Stallone?

Nice one! It's only Herol that wonders if Jermain Taylor is better than Sylvester Stallone.

    Hopkins vs Syd vanderpool

    Merchant 'there's a punch a clinch and a takedown,what sport is that'

    Lampley answers 'Australian rules boxing'

But in fairness his first fight with Echols is very entertaining.trinidad Holmes and Joppy were exciting even though they were one sided.every fight from 2004 on sucked.

    Hopkins has the better resume
    Lipsey
    Johnson
    Allen
    Echols
    Holmes
    Council
    Vanderpool
    Eastman
    Joppy
    Trinidad
    De la Hoya
    Mercado
    Daniels

    Golovkin
    Top 10 guys beaten
    Brook
    Stevens
    Geale
    Rubio
    Lemieux
    Murray
    Macklin
    Proksa
    Jacobs
Hopkins wins were all against solid world class fighters.oscar was past his prime but bernard dominated him.trinidad had just demolished Joppy the me number 2 at the time.trinidad wasn't at his best weight but he was genuinely elite.
It was a weak division though when Hopkins ruled,so if golovkin beats Canelo it would be very close

Are all these talks after Froch has retired though and after Frochs last fight? When Froch was active, Golovkin in the interview I watched just mentioned about a possibility in the future and Froch was getting on then.
I dont think there is anything wrong with Golovkin not going up to SMW if he is safe at MW

Froch kept on lipping off about being too big and strong for GGG - he certainly looked impressive in his gym shots - and Golovkin seemed keen to take Froch on in a 1-off. This was after he'd officially retired. Then Froch said that his wife had nixed the match.

Pity, I think it would have been a very exciting fight. I'm a big GGG fan, but Froch is one of the guys that isn't a very good style matchup for him and it would have been interesting to see Golovkin deal with his physicality.

At that time Felix Sturm had the WBA belt but he was ducking his WBA mandatory Golovkin from winter 2009/2010 on until he lost the WBA-Superbelt vs Geale in 2012. He even paid the WBA to make him superchamp to avoid Golovkin. He made the unification with Geale to avoid Golovkin too.

At least around January 2011 (6 month after Golovkin won the regular belt) GGG should have been recognized as the only and real WBA champ. That would mean GGG has 17 defenses of the belt at the moment so he could still reach Hopkins next year

So what if he was ducked. That doesn´t legitimize the belt. Its complete bull****.
He is at 13 or something like that.
Because of guys like you, Robert Guerrero is calling himself a 6-Time World Champion in 4 divisions
