Hopkins, and it's particularly close at this point. After Golovkin destroys Alvarez, it becomes more arguable.

Canelo turned pro at 140 and made 154 just two fights ago. GGG is a career long 160 pound fighter and would never be able to make 154.

    He's obviously the bigger guy.

Canelo was no bigger than tiny little Cotto.

Agreed, Hopkins defenses were a true bum of the month club, blown up welterweights and never was middleweights.

    GGG.

Whilst Hopkins has the bigger names in DLH and Trinidad, we have to remember that only Trinidad was proven at 160.

Plus Golovkin has never struggled with fighters of the ilk of a Mercado or having to fight a Robert Allen 3 times.

I would take GGG's wins over Lemieux and Jacobs over Hopkins victories over Joppy and Holmes.

No. Golovkin turned pro at 24 years old. Making him pretty much grown at that point. Canelo has been draining heavy to get down to 155 since his mid 20s. In fact he was draining to an unnatural weight. That's why his stamina has been so terrible. His body is not suited for 155. Notice how much better his conditioning was against Chavez at a more comfortable weight for him.

    GGG all the way.

He's got 1 undefeated WW Champion, and the rest of his legit Ws are former/current LMW/MW Champions.

BHops best wins came over former LWW Champs/WW Champs, who'd been beaten on several occasions, by much smaller guys than the one's GGGs been fighting.

I would say that GGG's reign is more exciting.

Even if that were true, Hopkins' resume still defecates and urinates all over Bumlovkin's.

FACTS. Learn to live with them...

How many first ballot HOF fighters has Bumlovkin beaten? Hopkins has at minimum 3 on his resume...
