both dela hoya and hatton never controlled the fight but hatton is more game

but dela hoya's hook is still dangerous until round 5

de la hoya had a brief flurry that was nothing in round 5....hatton came hard for 2 rounds, compared to oscar....hatton was much better then de la hoya against pac, and thats not saying much....

This reminds me of another question, who has the greater chin, Michael Grant or Herbie Hide?

You aren't taking into account how Hatton skillfully caught just about every punch Pac threw with his face. And he caught them quite squarely at the moment of highest impact. Are you blind? What fight were YOU watching? :think

considering how much better people rate the hatton win, i have to say him. people rate that win better because 1)he was absolutely destroyed 2)oscar didn't do ****. Oscar, God bless him, gave a non performance. Hatton while not dangerous or useful at all appeared to have a pulse and could be considered legally alive. Oscar I don't know...

30 year old Ricky Hatton was knocked down 3 times in 2 rounds. When he went down for the last time in the 2nd,he looked like he was dead.It really wasn't much of a fight.Every time Pac hit Hatton flush,Hatton went down.35 year old Oscar DeLaHoya was pounded for 8 rounds and couldn't get off first because he was shot(look at the Forbes fight and deny it). We're talking about a man that also fought speedsters like Sweat Pea and Tito. And Manny had to work harder in the DLH fight. How many more punches did he land on Oscar than Hatton,200?DeLaHoya quit because he knew that he was beaten up and didn't have a chance.Hatton quit,oh wait he didn't quit,he was destroyed and didn't have a choice. To say that Hatton had a better performance against Pac than DLH did is beyond ridiculous.

Well, given that Hoya was technically standing up on his feet I would say Hoya.

This is a crazy question. Hatton came out with some fury but got smoked right off the bat. Hoya came out looking zombie like and got tortured for a prolonged period of time.

I have to give it to Hoya for his chin keeping him up. :huh

Even if Hatton was shot which he wasn't and De La Hoya was shot, weightdrained and shite which he was....would anyone else have raped both fighters like Pac did?

    Within reason...
