who had a better resume? Erik Morales or MAB?

Yup, Nate Campbell's recent rise to the top of the 135 div. makes MAB victory of Peden so much sweeter.

I'm a MAB fan all the way but it's hard to dismiss Morales achievements!

barrera has the better names on his resume no doubt. morales3x, pac2x, jmm, hamed, jones, tapia & kelly (faded versions but still decent wins), mckinney, juarez, peden etc... some of those names are much better fighters than the ones morales has on his, and i'm a morales fan.

the real question is, who had the better wins? thats as close a call as there ever was one.

I have not problem with you picking Morales but it's crystal clear you are not being objective at all. You're simply picking the fighter you like best!:deal

    Please, he boxed Juarez silly.

And your letting very subjective thinking enter your analysis. Morales fought a completely unspirited fight against Rahim, and it could just as easily be argued that he fought a stupid fight against Pac in his third match by trading from the outset.

Best to stick to wins and losses.

    :lol::lol:

to be honest with you, i just dont like Barrera. i hate the way he bitched about getting his ass whipped in his first fight with Pac. then, years later he finally takes the rematch and decides to avoid engaging with Pac pretty much the whole fight. he didnt even seem interested in trying to win.

to me, he did the same thing with Juarez because he knew that Rocky had the power to hurt him with that left. the difference in that fight is that it was easier for him to take rounds.

youre right though, i have alot more respect for Morales. :good

Morales and MAB beat the same number of A champions, but Morales beat far more B champions.

    Morales...the baddest man alive.

not true, Morales' resume is STACKED...

    Pac
    MAB
    Zaragoza
    Poison Jones
    McColough
    Ayala
    Kelly
    Espadas
    Injin Chi
    Jesus Chavez
    Carlos Hernandez

that is a spectacular resume, better than MAB...MAB and Morales both had huge wins and fights, but in between those huge bouts, Morales took underrated and very good fighters in the interim.

It's really hard. MAB has fought more, beaten Morales twice, and his famous win over Hamed. However, MAB lost to Pac twice, and Junior Jones twice. Morales beat Pac once, and beat Junior Jones.

    Erik Morales

he beat Pacquiao and Junior Jones
the 2 fighters who defeated Barrera not once but twice.

    Agreed.

When it is this close the logical thing is to go on the head-2-head. Barrera takes it.

Both fighters had great careers but I will give the edge to Morales just because and that is just because he has a victory over PAC, cause both their resumes are great and almost equal in quality. That and of course I have too much respect for both of these warriors.
