Oscar De La Hoya's jab was very strong. I would say it was on par with Ike's...

No robbery vs De Le Hoya... But I thought he definitely won vs Forrest.
And had good showing vs Vargas.
Definitely hurt by inactivity. A year off before DLH(?), and over a year before Vargas.

He had one of the greatest jabs ever. Larry Holmes had a great jab also.

His jab was more of a snap. Definitely more a Holmes style than a Liston.

It is one of the best left jabs ever. But Cotto, DLH, Wlad etc. were definitely stronger.

 He jabbed the **** out of him.

Dela Hoyas was NOT better than Ikes.

All those saying Larry Holmes...is that purely on the basis of him being a heavyweight and Quartey a welterweight/light middleweight?

Because P4P i rate Quarteys jab the baddest

Ike's jab is one of the best if not the best i have ever seen. A LOT of snap, speed, and power.

:deal Don't forget Vargas, but that fight was pretty close, before Vargas got his nuts squashed by Tito. Jabs comparable to Ike's probably Cotto, Liston, and Foster's come to mind. Oscar's had more speed, but I think Quartey's had more crunch behind it. Pity a Quartey-Trinidad fight never happened.
