Who had more left at age 38. Holmes or Lewis. A poll for Fighting Weight.

Tough to tell, but I could see Lewis looking like Roy Jones had he continued, getting knocked out by bums. Holmes on the other hand was still pretty savvy and had a good chin. Can you imagine 38 year old Lewis getting up from the righthand that Holmes took from Tyson?? You could hear that punch in the back row of the arena.

Without a doubt, Holmes 'had more left' than Lewis at 38.

The latter was finished at 37.

At 38, the former still had what would rank as a fairly decent career ahead of him, even if you discount everything he'd done up till 38.

 

Lewis; but then again, I think its not so much because Holmes was 'finished' as a fighter, but because his work load was so much. 20+ title defenses in seven years is alot of wear and tear for ANY fighter of ANY weight class among the elite. Lewis never was that dominate.

 

I suggest you re-read the thread that started all this and see who was getting aggressive, it certainly wasn't me. You just hate the fact that I occasionally come over and call bull**** on your ridiculous pro Klit spinning that's all :good

Holmes based on his performances against Mercer & Holyfield.

 

Lewis didn't show anything after 37 but based on what the poll or rather the thread asks for I'd say Holmes. Despite being stopped by Mike Tyson who was an incredible fighter at that time, he had fought competitively with with everyone afterwards including beating Ray Mercer. His performance against Holyfield was admirable considering the his age.

 

So your opinions are 'fact' now are they?

You also display incredible double standards, I notice you ignored the point about you mocking Tyson for quitting at 40 years old whilst defending your beloved VITLAY for quitting in his prime, I wonder why :think

At least only the majority of my posts are anti Klitschko....pretty much all of yours elevate the brothers beyond belief. You keep doing it and I'll keep taking you to task, it amuses me.
