People, We all pretty much know that Tony "El Torito" Ayala was a gifted talent who blew his boxing career because of various legal problems from his youth, but what about fellow jailbird James Scott who fought outta Rahway prison in New Jersey.?.? In my view, Tony Ayala had a better chance at being a champion at Jr. Middleweight since he fought while he was outside of the prison bars, where as James Scott had to fight as a pro Light-Heavy while serving time behind bars... Neither ever became a champion, but would or could Ayala and Scott have won titles in the late 1970s and early 1980s had they fought under different conditions and were handled by different managers / trainers? Christ, its obvious both dude's had potential to excell if they would've been totally straight and focused... Who thinks what about Tony Ayala and James Scott?:huh MR.BILL:bbb:hat
ayala definatley from wat i heard at 14 he was handling himself against welter champ cuevas in sparring. dont know much about scott
I have James Scott's two fights with Eddie Gregory and Dwight Braxton... Scott went 1-1 in those two TV fights from Rahway... Scott was already over 30, but in great shape... MR.BILL
