I dont think it was his heavyweight campaign that made Toney slur so much as thousands of rounds in the gym. Gym wars are how Toney trained primarily which is a fairly dumb way to train if you value your brain.

Yes but it wouldn't be a 230 pound Toney soaking up punches at middleweight no matter who we imagine him against.

Which quite ironically takes me back to the question - do you think the 230 pound Toney would have been dropped by that Reggie Johnson punch?

    The world awaits ;)

Wladimir klitschko weighed 250 and peter dropped and did hurt him badly however he could not hurt toney. So the weight does not give you a sturdy chin. End of history

All 4 had GREAT chins. I think reggie just caught toney squared up and didn't hurt him that much.

Hopkins chin is underrated. His defense had been visibly slipping since the Pavlik fight and to take the shots he did from kovalev and Smith(before he flew out of the ring) at that age after that career is just inhuman.
Surviving the 12th and actually rocking kovalev was a superhuman feat.
Roy also caught him with some big bombs at 160 where he was the bigger man.

Don't forget how terribly chinny SRL looked at 10 years younger than Hopkins vs fat light hitting Camacho.

Haglers chin can't be questioned obviously.
    Toney still hasnt been stopped.
and eubank had a rock solid beard.

    1a Hagler
    1b toney
    2 Hopkins
    3 eubank

It had absolutely everything to do with it simply you did not have answer possible. Also your question HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH MY INITIAL COMMENT. I SAID THAT THE ROIDS DOES NOT GIVE YOU A BETTER CHIN AND THEN YOU INVENTED YOUR HISTORY OF THE 230 POUNDS

Yep. Hearns was a devastating puncher at welterweight. At light heavy and cruiser, he was not a huge puncher.

Though I don't think Hagler ever came out and admitted it after the fact, against Eugene Hart he's caught with some good punches and becomes suspiciously negative, going into a shell and not even throwing a punch for about a round. I think he may have been a bit rattled against "Cyclone" considering his vaunted power and Hagler's odd negativity.

Far from impossible too. I have a mag somewhere where he said in one fight he didn't know where he was at one point.

Even Hagler could be solidly hurt, no doubt about it. Took a bit tho LOL

So roids can't help you take a punch better if you use them whilst gaining 50+ pounds (more weight and muscle than you would gain unaided) and a couple of inches of neck size? You'd still take no better punch than you would at say 160?

    Really?

What you are saying is that a bigger heavier body will help to take a better shot. But If you use roids you will not increment necessary your weight
