It is mentioned on this vid that WK and Lewis were taught the same defensive tactic by Steward of extending their leads (1st layer of defense) keeping their right hand at their chin ready to parry the jab (Lewis not so much) and pivoting around to avoid the hook, which of these two did this better? Louis was mentioned as using the same stance and Ray Robinson exploited his reach in the same manner, you can add these two also.

Hey Mark you forgot Robinson in your title :)

Anyway, your question is kinda confusing, so I'm gonna go with the 'which fighter used their stance best' in the poll.

    In order, I'd rank it:
    Robinson
    Louis (close behind)
    Lewis
    Wlad

Now that's not to say wlad was ineffective, but he had glaring vulnerabilities that others didn't show in such a pronounced fashion.

Robinson was the best, with Louis close behind. The reason I put Robinson on top is due to his great lateral movement (which of course is better due to his lower weight) manipulation of the centre line. Of course, Louis could do this too, and both were potent offensively, but Louis could be a bit of a plodder, which was exploited by the likes of Conn.

If he were an option, I would have Jose Mantequilla Napoles as my number one for your question.

How the hell did Robinson a welterweight at his best get into this debate with 3 Heavyweights?

What next? Could George Foreman or Frank Bruno dance and use their feet around the ring better than Robinson?

No, it`s just that the way he held his hands with the extended lead and the right hand by his chin was the same as Wlad, it was pointed out on the vid as were the other two so that`s all I was reffering too, Robi`s name in the text box was put in as optional, the main comparison by me was Wlad and Lewis and who exploited teir reach and heigth the best to make them hard to hit, though Robi usually exploited a reach advantage in the same way too, he wasn`t as tall compared to his opponents as Wlad and Lewis were.
