I suppose not getting KO'ed by one armed Vitali is more impressive than losing a decision to one armed Helenius. http://www.boxingnews24.com/2012/01...hisora-bout-will-undergo-surgery-on-thursday/ In short, Chisora has done nothing impressive...aside from not getting knocked out... in his last to outings, both of which were losses. Unless you consider making a descent fight against a one armed opponent impressive... which I don't.
I never said it was impressive, I said the fight was most significant to his career. More so than the other guys.
:thumbsup Very nice. Except I disagree about Chisora, who I predict will be exposed as a hype train with a big mouth... so maybe that fight with Haye will be a perfect match up?
I'd say the possible fight with Haye, which is a result of the nonsense after the fight, is more significant for him. Personally, I'd like to see Chisora vs. Arreola. I think that would be a slug fest.
You may be right about Chisora being exposed but because of this weekend he's going to end up in another big fight or more and get a nice payday(s) because of it. And, he lost the fight, so somehow he was able to really capitalize on his fight with Vitali.
Exactly. In terms of impressiveness I'd say: Campillo Vitali (I didn't think it was gonna be as dominant as it was) Williams Arreola
I would have put Campillo at the top but getting the loss instead of the win does hurt some. With another loss on his record and not having the title he mover farther into the high risk low reward category and may have even more trouble landing big fights. But I'd agree that he was the most impressive this weekend.
Voted Vitali wanted to say Campillo but he did hit the canvas twice Vitali won almost every round and did it hurt, same shoulder he hurt vs Byrd and to do it at 40 is something else Campillo is a close second Williams looked improved and did some good things but Ishida really didnt push him or use the blue print i wanna see Paul fight a hard to hit mobile counter puncher
if Stevenson was a choice i may have voted for him actually worst performance goes to that guy on FNF on short notice after being in a cast he had no moments
The fact that Campillo hit the deck and came back to dominate the fight makes it even more impressive. Remember he was a big underdog while Vitali was the heavy favorite.
Proper Order: 1) Gsora: brought Gness back to the heavyweight division. Will probably watch his next fight LIVE and I have not watched a heavyweight fight live in years. 2) Campillo: fight was reminiscent of Pac-JMM1, that raised the profile of JMM. I think Camp won clearly which will raise his profile. However, he looked so good not to many top fighters will want to get into the ring with him (too much risk for not much reward). The guy put on such a great performance that the networks will want to see him in the ring soon. 3) Williams: Put in a solid performance but did look so good that the big dogs will run. He has a name so the canelo's and chavez's of the world my see him as a high reward less risk than other fighters like a Kirkland. 4) Haye made the news and didn't even get in the ring. Also punk Vitali's team by say in public that they agree on terms but they walked away. Made it seem like Big V was running from him. 5) Big V: did ok for someone with a minor injury at least he didnt quit. Win does nothing for his career or his legacy but made him look vulnerable 6) Arreola: got the KO . . . not impressed
