Yeah good one Chavez had great footwork, ruthless, precise, varied, great balance, id add mike Tyson too who pulled off some audacious footwork set pieces
At his best, Camacho had great footwork. I'm talking about when he boxed fairly aggressivly & used footwork to move in, attack his opponent, & get back out of range. Great balance.
Pernell had as textbook perfect footwork as any I've seen, Benny Leonard's was in that category also but then there's Willy Pep's which transcends good footwork because you couldn't teach it but to a few, one was born with that extra ordinary ability or they weren't. Joe Louis was taught footwork expertly with his makeup and to throw those short combinations we all loved but he couldn't sidestep and move backwards like these other greats.
