Remember, we are talking strictly about offensive arsenal here...

So please vote, and explain your choice :bbb

    ISRAEL VASQUEZ - 32 KOs in 44 wins - 73% stoppage ratio
Great offence moment: Dropping then stopping Rafael Marquez in the 6th round of a bloody war, Rafa's 1st stoppage loss for 7 years

    MARCO ANTONIO BARRERA - 43 KOs in 65 wins - 66% ratio
Great offence moment: Marco produced some sensational combination punching to stop Paulie Ayala in the 10th round - two fights after Paulie had taken Erik Morales the full distance

    JUAN MANUEL MARQUEZ - 37 KOs in 50 wins - 74% ratio
Great offence moment: JMM ended the Fight Of The Year against Juan Diaz by knocking his younger, bigger, stronger opponent clean out with a beautiful uppercut

    ERIK MORALES - 34 KOs in 49 wins - 69% ratio
Great offence moment: Blows away the two-time conqueror of Barrera, Junior Jones, in the 4th round

    RAFAEL MARQUEZ - 34 KOs in 38 wins - 89% ratio
Great offence moment: Handing Tim Austin the first stoppage defeat of his career... hot on the heels of handing Mark Johnson the first stoppage defeat of his career

Id say Barrera he has the best variety of Combonations and some very fast hands.

So you think he had the best offence even though he had the lowest stoppage ratio, interesting...

To the guys who are voting but not posting - explain your choice please!!!

Which one, if you were pressed to give an answer?

And why do you think so?

He fought tougher competition throughout his whole career thats why, I saw many of his early fights at the Forum and he wasnt fed a bunch of taxi drivers like some of the others. I think Barrera was a little underrated in the power departmnent.
Although PFP Marquez at Bantam was probably the hardest puncher of these guys.

JMMarquez. For a few years, his punching technique was absolutely perfect. His combinations, like against Jaca, were a thing of real beauty. I don't even think he's a big puncher but he was so accurate with his shots, he hurt and stopped many tough boxers.

JMM's toe-to-toe combination counterpunching for me.

though, morales' ability to smell blood and finish his opponent is also quality for me.

morales for me. could of been a good boxer had he comitted to it but chose to use his long body and reach to be able to hit guys at all distances. able to bully on the inside even beat barrera who's inside boxing prowess was/is very good. and use long range jab and straight rights like agaisnt manny.

rafeal marquez i think might come second but his style seemed too involve too much 1-2-1-2-1 which was worked out by most fighters. mark johnson had him covered until he started to gas and i dont think it was because he was a bit to 2 dimensional.

I agree with Anarci. I don't think high KO ratio means better offensive arsenal. Some people are harder punchers than others, some fought better competition throughout their careers, and as you get older and you have more fights, usually your KO ratio goes down.

But I believe MAB just had the best variety of punches out of the group of fighters listed. He also put his punches better than the ones IMO. I don't understand why, but it seems like a lot of people on ESB like Morales and bc of that, they tend to not like MAB, like MAB is the yang to EM's Ying.

    Morales.

As someone already posted, Marquez could be predictable at times, and Morales also fought and beat a much higher calibre of fighter.

    Love both the guys though.

I agree ive always wondered why many on ESB like Morales more, I actually though Barrera was better to watch more fluid combos, better defense, same power and just as brave.

JMM. He created offense with his technique. No rushing in, no wasted punches, just precise combination punching. I loved the way he could throw a counter from a mile away and the way he stays in your face kind of saying come on throw something if you dare!

Not really hearing any full/convincing explanations why Morales is getting these votes....
