All 3 had their successes but they still had to go through hell to get past The Technician. You can make an argument that Sergiy might have at least gotten a draw from them, or even a slight edge against all of them. Out of the 3 that fought him who would you say put on the best performance in handling Derevyanchenko? Who beat him most convincingly?

    Context needs to be applied.

GGG was pushing 38 when he fought Dev and obviously way past his best and the later was coming off three back to back gruelling 12 round wars, all of which were razor close, against Jacobs, Culcay, and GGG when he fought Jermallo and he took and lots of punishment in those fights, especially against GGG who sent him to the hospital Good Boy style.

People forget the Culcay fight but that was also a real war and razor-close and Dev took a lot of punishment and he was hurt in that one a couple of times too.

Also, Jacobs and Jermallo are bigger, heavier and longer than GGG and Dev with those T-Rex arms of his was giving away 6'' in reach to both whereas against GGG it was only 2.5'' and the huge reach advantage for Jacobs and Jermallo was obviously a big factor in their fights against Dev.

Jermallo was coming in as heavy as GGG when he was down at 154 six years ago and he's obviously bigger now

I rate Jermallo and he impressed me the other night, but the anti-GGG crowd using devoid of context triangle theories and acting like Jermallo had an easy time against Dev because he busted him up and was the recipient of biased misleading commentary to try and diminish GGG are full of ****. How would a way past prime near 38 y/o version of Jermallo fared against the versions of Dev who fought GGG and Jacobs? I think we all know the answer to that.

I feel really bad for Dev losing all his big fights on close decisions (despite what the judge's scorecards say, the Jermallo fight was close too) and being involved in four gruelling career-shortening wars in back to back fights at his age because he's such a gutsy, tough and game guy and he has a huge heart and a lot of physical disadvantages to overcome and he's never going to achieve his dream or what his talent and intestinal fortitude deserves now.

I'd like to see him take a long rest and maybe step down to 154 if he can get down there if he is going to continue with his career, but I have no desire to see him in anymore wars anytime soon.

Charlo obviously. Chenko arguably got the win over GGG and ran Jacobs close too. Charlo dominated and beat the stuffing out of him.

So I agree with a lot of this assessment. Also don't forget that GGG switched up trainers. I think GGG is already slipping out of his prime while Charlo is in his. Unfortunately I think that favors Charlo currently if they were to match up. That said GGG probably would have defeated SD more convincingly in his prime. As far as how good Charlo is will take time.

I had all of them scored 7-5 to ‘the other guy’. Charlo was the only one to not put him down, so from a scoring point of view he did worse by a point. It was his first step up at 160 though so he gets some allowances there. GGG felt like the cane the closest to losing. But then he’s my guy, so my emotional investment might have skewed that a little. So I guess Jacobs

Yeah, I like Banks but I don't rate him very highly as trainer. His uncle, however, I rate up there with the best of them.

    1. Charlo
    2. Jacob's
    3. GGG

GGG is getting on in age and wear & tear and it showed in that fight.

Jermall is the answer. And Chenko had early success vs Mall even. Jacobs and GGG maybe didnt expect what SD brought. By the time Jermall got him this last Saturday night, tape was studied. GGG had good success with the jab vs Derevyanchenko like wise so did Jermall. G was 38 I believe when he fought Chenko so age was a factor in some regard

GGG is ancient in boxing years now though and wasn't he ill for the Chenko fight with the flu or something too? Might be spin but he defo did look flat & certainly not the same fighter from the Alvarez fights.. shows how good he actually was in his prime considering he is approaching 40, putting in flat & workman like performances yet still getting the job done & and pretty much matching the top boys today..

No GGG was not ill, but he doesn't have abel by his side and has slipped a lot since the first canelo fight.

    GGG has performed the worst.
GGG took a beating and arguably lost.

Jacobs won a very close fight but clear.

Charlo won in a close fight but put the biggest beating on SD, and you can argue a 8-4 win.
