I don't hate Lewis, you idiot. You obviously have no idea what the difference between a straight right, a right cross, and an overhand right is.

Lewis had one of the best OVERHAND rights in history. But he didn't throw STRAIGHT rights. I don't think Lewis EVER threw a straight right.

Alexis Arguello, and Kostya Tszyu are two good examples of guys with great STRAIGHT right hands.

You guys have no idea what is the difference between a straight right hand or an overhand right hand.

Lewis only threw over hand rights.Same for Bowe.

Foreman is a guy who threw lots of straight right hands.Like the one he knocked Moorer out with

Arguing about what the names for the two punches "Really mean" isn't sensible. They mean different things in different countries and they probably mean different things in different gyms. Nobody who is naming a given punch one thing rather than the other is "stupid" or "wrong", just as the reverse is true. This argument crops up every three years and it always finishes the same way - with a bunch of guys calling each other stupid when, joyfully, they are all right.

And if I may respectfully disagree with my esteemed colleague on the topic of meaningless names for punches, Whenever I hear of an "orthodox" fighter - without changing stance - is said to throw a "right hook" Oh Geeze that means something :(

Max Baer must figure as a contender for best overhand right...a looping, overhand right.
Ingo Johansson as well when it comes to throwing a straight right....aside from a range finding jab, it was all he had.

Now, i don't know why anyone has mentioned him, but Veeraphol threw the best straight right i ever saw, it was perfect, i thing it was Hasegawa who said it looked like a jab, no telegraphing at any point.

Lewis clubbed people in the back of the head ten times a round. I think it's safe to say he threw lots of over hand rights.

Mate Parlov had the straighest of the straighest left.

If you watch in a mirror it's the straighest right hand you'll see.
