The comp that Hopkins beat during his reign was generally average to crappy except for Johnson, Trinidad and Holmes. Most name fighters that he beat were far from their best (i.e. DLH, Simon Brown, Joppy). Calzaghe has an edge having beaten a lot of title-holder type guys plus Kessler, Eubank, and Lacy.

don't you mean to say "calzaghe couldn't get a prime hopkins into the ring because hopkins thought better of it. not even a career high pay day of 3 million $'s could get him to change his mind." ?

if anyone's "jockstrap" couldn't be held, it was calzaghe's. but don't worry, calz let hopkins have a touch of it when he finally got him into the ring.

oh, and he bent him over and dry ****ed him like a ***** as well. calz was horny that night. he didn't want to wait until after the fight to make love to his *****, so did it right there and then. :hey

Yes, its a little strange feeling being called a newbie by someone who is probably younger than yourself! I tried that too.. But you know being teenager and raised with internet makes you a genius in all, including boxing;)

It's very close, but Calzaghe. Neither he nor Hopkins have excellent win lists.

i'm suprised so many people say calzaghe.

not because he didn't have a great title reign and not because he wasn't an excellent fighter, but because an obscure champion (outside of britain and no matter how talented) will never be in danger of getting challenged by top established fighters with a high profile in boxing moving up in weight.

Hopkins and Calzaghe are about equal.

    Ottke is not.
