Who had the better cardio, Duran or Chavez?

    Honestly unless Duran had been on a bender he was just as tireless if memory checks out.

    I guess I’d go with Chavez because I don’t remember him having fights where he huffed and puffed a bit like Duran did when he was still lightweight champ but would stop up to 140-ish for some non-title bout like he did vs. Edwin and Adolfo Viruet.

    There’s also the question of where we’re drawing the line on Duran’s prime (as opposed to his peak); I can’t see his prime not including the first Leonard fight (and how can he be in his prime there but not five/six months later in the rematch?), and before that he really looked chubby and fought in third gear vs. Zeferino Gonzalez and probably second gear in a few others.
