CompuBox also states: "Ali landed an avg. 9 of 29 jabs per rnd. vs Joe"

I believe the actual stat was: 135 Jabs landed, from 440 thrown.

It’s funny we can’t use the Douglas fight but the Foreman fights are fair game.

    What a clown.

You said he stopped moving, which is false. You are wrong. At least admit that.

Bro, you're getting worse than Unforgiven at this. If you really think Frazier had a better defense than Tyson then it's safe to say you're in that hater group. Your posts at Classic are turning into ****.

Using shot Frazier - fair game. Tyson in his physical prime - not.

I don't know if any other set of fans utilises this kind of flawed reasoning as brazenly as Tyson fans do.

I don't think you have understood the post, to which you've responded.

Pretty sure you aren't in your physical prime if you barely even train.

Tyson was better - for about 4 rounds. Tyson would always slow as the bout progressed. It's just the nature of his energy intensive style mechanics. Frazier could keep his bobbing and weaving, parrying etc. up in 15 round dogfights, against guys like Ali. That is insane, especially for his size. To me, Frazier is more impressive, but I'll try quantify some areas with my opinion.

    Slipping - Tyson clearly
Bobbing and weaving - Close to even
    Parrying - Frazier quite clearly
    Neck rolls - Frazier
    Distance judgment - Tyson
Inside Fighting defence - Frazier clearly
Rolling of the shoulder - Frazier
Footwork / angle switches - Tyson

In conclusion, I feel Frazier had the more varied and studied overall defence, but Mike's specific form of defence was done at a slightly higher, more refined level.

You should add counterpunching since defense is part of it.

For me it's clear that Tyson of Douglas was closer to his best than even Frazier of Foreman 1, not to even speak of Foreman 2. And in any case you know full well that neither of these were close to the best version of Frazier so you will only make yourself look silly by bringing them up but insisting on only using Tyson's best outings.

Frazier's dip and monster left hook is a personal favorite for me, but Tyson had a better variety of combos/punches to counter with.
