Can you imagine if Holmes were Vitali's height and weight? He would beat everyone easily. Probably the best jab in the last 25 years in heavyweights. He and Hearns in the 1980's had great jabs.

I am a big Lewis fan but his jab is overated. Bruno and Mercer were able to out jab him so I can't see his jab ranking that highly. Bowe didn't have a top 5 jab either he was easily out jabbed by Golota, I have always thought his jab is overated.

Where was Liston, he had a great jab with a big reach? I know most will pick Holmes but personally I preferred Ali's jab.

Yeah, I'm not usually one of these overly nostalgic types, but Holmes had one of the best jabs ever.

Holmes' jab was legendary, so there's your answer. Enough of this madness!

Whatever next, who's the best at leaping cars? :patsch

Whoa, I forgot how fast Holmes was in his prime. His jab is a damaging punch, where as most of the other guys are just using it to set up a right.

You Guys miss my point ...maybe i phrased it wrong ..Im not disputing the quality of Holmes , (for the record , one of my fave boxers) ..and believe me ..i totally agree with all the comments on his effectiveness ... I put it to yu this way then ..IF ..Lennox was boxing as he did in his prime in the same era as Holmes against the same or similar opponents ..would his jab not be as effective ..
Im not saying he would/did use it the same way ..im saying ..speed accuracy and damaging affect ...
In closing and for the record i also do think Holmes had the best jab ...but my all time fave jab ..??? Thomas the HITMAN HEARNS !!!!!! HEARNS!!!! lol
