Definitely Marvin Hagler, but Julio Caesar Chavez is not far behind.

Hagler. He barely even grimaced when being bombed on the chin by bangers such as Hearns and Mugabi.

Hagler. He fought great punchers, took their best shots without getting down or even really hurt. It was quite rare when it looked like he noticed anything.

Hearns hurt Hagler in the first rd; but the shot broke his hand on Marvin's skull.

Marvin used the dirty tactic of sytematically lowering his head to an incoming shot so the fighter broke his hand on the top of his skull.

He did the same to Duran.

I suspect Marvin would have been stopped had Hearn's hand not broken for the rest of the fight.

I don't know .. I've watched that first round so many times and never see Hagler hurt . maybe someone can point it out .. hit, sure but really hurt ? I don't see it ..

Chavez proved his chin when he destroyed Rosario. Rosario was the bigger man and a huge puncher at 135 and Julio walked right through him .. I'm no fan of the pampered, egotistical post 135 Chavez who ducked the rubber match w Randall and never gave Whitaker a rematch but the 130 and 135 guy was the real deal.. a badass for sure ..

    :rofl

There was nothing wrong with Duran's hand in their fight. Also I can't really see the problem with ducking your head when someone tries to punch you face :huh

Hagler and it's pretty clear to me. Chavez had a superb chin.. but not on Hagler's level.

Owing to the fact that John Mugabi caught Marvin repeatedly during their bout one year later,i doubt that Hearns could've stopped Hagler.

Everybody can be ko'd, Marvin included.
You just have to hit them on the right spot;if the first shot won't do it, the following ones will...

Hearns hurt Hagler with a shot on the top of his skull; if it had landed on his chin,....

I admit I am more of a Hagler guy, and I voted for him but I think I made a mistake, lol..

Hagler only had 67 pro fights and fought from 73-87, Chavez fought for a very long time, from 1980-2005, 115 pro fights, OBVIOUSLY HE HAD A LOT MORE WEAR AND TEAR ON HIS BODY, and didn't get knocked down until 94, his 89th pro fight:deal. Against Randall..
Chavez also faced a lot of bigger stronger, guys like De la Hoya, and Kosta Tszyu...
Hagler on the other hand was a stronger bigger middleweight than most of the guys he faced, all you have to do is look at his arms and legs..

Stronger yes, but generally not bigger. Marvin was considered a 'small' Middleweight. He did not seem to struggle to get under 160 throughout his career, with the exception of the infamous Minter weigh in.

Not surprised people are picking Hagler but I am surprised its so lopsided. Chavez took a helluva shot.

It's not as if Tommy only got off one shot and landed stop Marv's skull. He had all the chances he needed. he just couldnt knock him out, while at the same time, Marv was firing at the same time, street fight style

In summary: Marv took Tommy's best, but Tommy couldnt take Marv's best

    and the best man won

no, u didnt make a mistake

Julio couldnt take Randal's best and crumpled under it

and in the rematch, Julio was fighting at 100% output and having trouble keepingup

it's good for him he got that accidental cut happened or Randal wouldve stopped him. With EIGHT ROUNDS LEFT? HELL YEAH!

Julio didnt face the kind of punchers Marv faced, and more of them too dating back to '76
