I'm a very big admirer of the truth, but you making a statement does not make it true,I'm far from insecure, and I have absolutely no imput as to who gets banned ,nor have I or would I ever request a poster was banned.Me grow up? I'm not the one acting like he is five years old.

Glad you have sorted your work problems out, well done ,breath easy now, as to our discussion on Duran/Leonard ( little bit on Estaban ) once again you imply that Duran easily beat Ray words like " patently and " a clear loss " also " unimaginable " which I don't fully comprehend or in fact agree with , in my opinion ( that's all any of us can have ) had Ray fought Duran in the style of their second fight, I believe he would have beaten Duran, its possible I am misrepresenting your view and analysis, if so I apologize , perhaps some other kind posters can throw some light on our thread ? anyway mate thanks for prompt reply, look forward to your next post. keep well.

Yeah talk about the unexpected, most everyone thought Hearns would take a decision as Tommy really hadn't impressed anyone lately. But as I was watching the two men come to the center of the ring there was a gasp and murmur from the crowd as the size difference became obvious. I am a huge Duran fan and I too thought Tommy would take a UD due to his 11 inch reach advantage and big height difference but to see it on the screen was shocking. Add to the fact Roberto had put in three good performances in a row and was now flush with cash . I just think Duran 20 pounds over his best weight ran into the absolute best version of Tommy Hearns that ever stepped into the ring.

Going with Hearns just because is what such a destruction. The guys barely looked hurt taking Hagler and Barkley's shots and easy dismantled the hard banger Moore, but was just obliterated by Hearns. Hard to wrap your head around really.

Definitely Hearns. Duran just went 15 rounds with Haglar in his previous fight. The only challenger ever to go the full 15 rounds with the middleweight champ so no one expected Hearns to knock him out cold like he did especially since Hearns at tha5 time hadn’t scored a notable knockout for a few years after moving up to light middleweight. People were starting to question his power before the Duran fight which makes them knockout even more impressive.

As for De Jesus, whenever people question why Duran is regarded as the greatest lightweight ever and who did he beat to be regarded as such, the first name that is always mentioned is De Jesus. Well if De Jesus is seen as the best of Duran’s opponents at lightweight and a great fighter in his own right, why is it seen as such a great shock that he managed to beat Duran in one of their 3 fights?

The thing people forget is after the Hagler fight Duran once again ballooned up in weight and partied like there was no tomorrow. He was offered the Hearns fight in a bar and was like yeah ok. Duran barely made weight and looked slow and lethargic even entering the ring, he underestimated Hearns and paid for it. The first knockdown you can see that smirk on his face like "wow, all that partying I should have been training." Hearns win was impressive but it was over a shell of the guy who went fifteen against Hagler and of course would still go on to beat Hearns two time conqueror Iran Barkley.

De Jesus has the best win. - Becuz he defeated him at his best weight and Duran was undefeated at the time. Watching Hearns beating Duran looks like Hearns had that stylistical advantage over him plus Duran said he was drained.

I would say Dejesus followed by Benitez.
Anything above the 147 lbs against Duran I dont consider a great victory. Duran at those weights although capable against most, was past prime and weight physically and reflexively to compete against the upper tier, meaning A level opposition.
Duran just was'nt going to beat an A level fighter 154 lbs and above.

Is he seen as the best of his light weight opponents? Buchanan? It's a valid point though.Duran was a clear favourite to beat De Jesus who not only clearly beat him, but floored him into the bargain.Hearns was a 2/1 favourite to beat Roberto so how much of an upset was that?
