This just makes no sense, like none at all. Whitaker was "dominated" at times by R. Mayweather, DLH and Rivera.. Floyd never was? WHAT??? Floyd was actively trying and lost (imo) the first fight to Castillo. Maidana gave Floyd a tougher fight in No. 1 than the people you list gave Whitaker sans DHL... Who again, is 10x the fighter Maidana is. Actually, he's better than anyone Floyd has ever fought.. If nothing else, he was made to look worse in that fight than anybody ever made Pea look. What's worse, Pea fought the higher caliber foe and still dominated them more than May has. The reality is this, May was constantly trying and still gave away rounds. Pea rarely gave rounds away unless he was clowning too much.

Watch the tape though. Watch Floyd lead right and Pea's.. They are very similar in speed imo. Pea's jab is faster than Floyd's. I'll agree they are close, and who knows maybe Floyd is slightly ever slightly faster... but it's nothing I'd list as an attribute Floyd has over Pea that would win him the fight.

Mayweather really only lost rounds against Castillo when he stopped throwing punches altogether and against Maidana when he was ancient.

Him not being active and throwing a lot of punches is the reason he lost most of his rounds. It wasn't an isolated incident

I think floyd's lead right is faster, and generally more authoritative. I do see your argument.

At the the absolute elite level we are talking, both of them would beat most opponents, in different ways but the result would be the same.

As far as this thread, i am confused as to the boundary between style and physical ability and how phy... affects style so i'm not sure i can even comment anymore.
