Just asking, how many weight class has Naz moved up? If I remember correctly Naz competed as a bantam then went up till feather. Just a three class leap. In other words, he has only added 8 lbs. Pac became a sensation at 112, now he's at 130. An 18 pound leap. Certainly, anyone who moved up that far would get their punch diminished or so.
When he was at 112 he was not a man yet, he was not fully developed at 16 or whatever he was. His true, full developed, natural weight was around 122.
Please don't try to twist it to Pac's favor. Can you show me some 1 punch power display in Pac's early career and not accumilative punches? The thread is who packed a more powerful punch and as been stated, Naz put people out cold whereas Pac brutalized you into submission with punches. Naz's punching power at his heaviest still blows away anything Pac did in the lower weights. Provided of course proof to the contrary is shown.
I'm not twisting it on Pac's favor, I'm putting my argument that both men possessed the same amount of power especially when Pac was still at 112 and 122. I don't have any vids or links, but I've seen all of his fights, he punch was really something at 112.
:nonoNo, reason being is Naz needed less shots to take out his guy than Pac. Thus, Naz has MORE punching power. I've seen a clip where Naz knocks down an opponent with what looks like a hybrid Jab/straight right hand from the SOUTHPAW stance. I hate that little ****er but his power was insane.
[yt]q1aVlCjPDHk[/yt] from youtube: Manny Pacquiao(34-2-1) vs Fahprakorb Rakkiatgym(37-2-0). This is Pacquiao's 3rd defense of his IBF Super Bantamweight title against the mandatory challenger. Rakkiatgym was taken to the hospital on a stretcher 2002
Again, it was very impressive but it came as a result of multiple punches landed. Many of the solid shots in the early part of the round would have decapitated him where it Naz throwing the heat.
Like I said, Pac's power isn't as it was at 126. Even Tommy Hearns who ranks way higher than Naz in terms of power has had power shortage at 154 and 160. My argument is simple. Sure, Naz never lost his power at 118, 122 and 126, but could he have retained it at 130 or fighting at a catchweight of 135,(which is almost equivalent of the 18 pound jump Pac made from where he started.)
I love this debate. Answer me this: Who has lifted an opponent both feet up the canvas with an uppercut? Answer: Pac
I actually do think that Hamed had better one punch power. I'm just showing to everybody here that not all of Manny's stoppage wins were only because of accumulation punches. Almost all of his KOs from 108, 112, and some from 122 and 126 were one punch KOs.
