It has me stumped...which champion leads the way with draws in title defenses? The one that comes to mind for me is Gene Fullmer with 3 draws during his reign as middleweight champ.

It would depend on what source your going by. Abe Attell had 3 by BoxRec and the Ring Record Book has 4 or 5. In his record it has 4 and one was for vacant title and on the list of Title bout draws they have 5 for him.

Jack Britton had also had 5 draws in title fights, if you go by BoxRec

    Ben Villaflor also has 3.

Thank you hhascup...I was hoping you'd spot this thread..I forgot about Villaflor..one draw was with Serrano and another was with Victor Eschegaray (I know I mutilated that name)...Yoshio Apollo was the third. I guess it's between Attell and Britton..it gets pretty confusing, but thanks again for the answer.:thumbsup

    No problem!

Ted "Kid" Lewis had 4 draws in title bouts if you count Newspaper Decisions. Two of Britton's draws was also Newspaper Decisions.

Abe Attell is listed as having 5 Draws in Title fights by the Ring Record Book.

George Dixon had 7 draws in Title fights, if you go by the 1986-1987 Ring Record Book, page 379.
