    Pac did.

Did not have to take DRUG test.
Did not have to risk losing before elections if he got beaten up my Mayweather.
If he tested and was dirty, then he would not only lose in boxing but lose politically.

Pac would have more chances of winning the election if he fought Mayweather, win or lose, than if the fight didn't happen. Now people won't want him to win the election in the hopes that he will continue fighting.

if the earthquake didn't happen, there's always that excuse Floyd pulled to post-pone his fight with JMM. :yep

Just about the Berto/Mosley thing, it was 6 days before Berto pulled out of the fight. In that time, there was no suspicion that he would and it seems unusual to wait such a long time before making the decision. It wouldn't suprise me at all if he was paid step aside money by GBP because Mayweather had no other viable options.

If he gets $500,000 and a promise of a big fight in the future? It makes sense all round.

How true. You see, as far as Floyds career is concerned , he calls the shots. Manny, on the other hand, pretty much takes Roaches advice.
The blood on Cotto's face had hardly started to dry when everyone was calling for Floyd to take on Manny. Backed into a corner, Floyd immediately went into ***** mode. First he demanded the fight date be so close to Manny's bruising fight with Cotto, so sure that Paq would balk. When Roache agreed to the date, Floyd starting making other demands. At this point Roache gave up, knowing that for every condition agreed to, Floyd would come up with another, and not wanting Floyd calling all the shots.
If Floyd was so concerned about Steroids, why wasn't extra drug testing his first demand? He only thought of that after Roache called his bluff about March 23.
So it was Floyd who had the most to gain from the fight not happening. Floyd sees Manny's fast hands, aggression, stamina, and the damage he does over the course of a long fight. Floyd is fighting Mosely only to save face. He had no intention of fighting him before, but Floyd knows Mosely is a less potentially physically damaging task than going 12 with Manny.

Could Floyd have fought anybody else but Mosley without being laughed at or ridiculed to no end..... and since Mosley is so willing to any condition to make the fight happen.

... and you know what's telling, Floyd took a while before signing. There were also report of him re-examining risk-reward for this fight.

For all we know, a contract could already have been signed for an Oct/Nov/Dec 2010 fight, and it could have been signed by everyone last December.
