Pac could retire any time now. I don't buy into this.

Arum would've made more money off Pac vs PBF than matching up Pac with unknown inhouse fighters until he retires..

Biggest gainner gotta be Shane for landing this fight.

I think he confidently believes he will beat Floydie that is why he comes up with this "Floyd is just scared of Pac and Pac not juicing..." He's already putting that into Pac's head, that he believes Pac's clean, so he will never have problems in their negotiation.

Neither had any thing to gain from not fighting each other. However Pacquiao is not going to have as strong of a negoiting position next time. Consider that He was comming off two high profile wins over hatton and Cotto. Mayweather was comong off retirement and a win over marquez which in the public eye was not as impresive as Pacquiao's wins.
In the aftermath Pacquiao is fighting Clottey a very good boxer but a guy he is suposed to beat. Mayweather is fighting Mosley a guy considred to be a top 5 posibily top 3 pound for pounder and is considred to have a chance at beating Mayweather. Both Mayweather and Pacquiao should win their up coming bouts in convincing fashion. However when the dust clears Mayweather will be in a stronger negoitioning position than Pacquiao.

Taking into consideration that when talks fell through the Mosley vs Berto fight was on, then Pacquiao had the most to gain.

He got to avoid stronger drug testing, something he appeared desperate to avoid for whatever reason due to the lies his team told as their reason for walking away from negotiations.

Well, if Pacquiao agrees to being adequately drug tested, he and Floyd would be scheduled to fight. So, I don't think you can really put it on Floyd or Schaeffer so much.

Come off it. Bob Arum is the culprit plain and simple.

Bob Arum hates Mayweather and GBP and would do just about anything to disrupt their goals. So, when the fight came around Bob Arum followed none of the rules agreed to, had Pacquiao file a lawsuit, and immediately ran in a replacement so that the fight could not have been negotiated for April. Bob Arum is an old battle axe that will hold grudges even if they cost all involved millions.

#1 - Bob Arum - can continue matching up fighters in his stable with Pacquiao and keep 100% of the profits - not ready to cash in his cash cow

#2 - Pacquiao/Roach - Pacquiao needed more time to prepare for Mayweather's style as Roach had frequently alluded to.

I don't see how Golden Boy or Mayweather would benefit from the fight not happening. Even if it did occur, Mosley was likely to be next in line.

Golden boy was indeed entitled to a share of the profits on Mayweather's end as it was a co-promoted event and they also receive a percentage from all Pacquiao fights, as he was previously a Golden Boy fighter.

This is extremely revisionist. Somehow Golden Boy was behind this conspiracy to break the fight, even though TOP RANK made an ALL TOP RANK matchup less than 48 hours after WALKING AWAY from Mayweather. Golden Boy made Mayweather/Mosley long afterward, BY DEFAULT.

Maybe not from the get go, but when (GBP) Schaeffer saw the opportunity, he took it.

If you examine Schaeffer role in the negotiation, he was much better than Arum in spoiling this fight. GBP's press releases, Oscar's comments, how GBP fighters would submit to testing when they in fact refused Judah's request for steroid testing..and on..

GBP seemed to see the gain when they were letting the negotiation fall apart.:good
