Age seldom determines the prime of a fighter, a fighter's prime gets defined by the wins and performances he put on on a particular amount of time, not if he's x or y age.

Ggg before Canelo 1 had just nicked a fight against the #2 ranked behind Canelo himself Danny Jacobs, probably his best opponent apart from yet again Canelo and that glorified journeyman Derev

To say Nobuhiro, a fight with a subpar opponent, defending a title that it's not even recognized is his best performance is just ridiculous

Yeah, no, that's not how fighter's primes works. Pretty much every fighter reaches their prime around their mid-20s or so, because that is when their bodies are at their athletic best, they're hungry, they can make weight much easier, and don't have the wear and tear of a whole career of fighting. Even fighters who were late-bloomers like B-Hop or JJ Walcott are instances where a fighter's experience catches up with their declining athletic gifts and ageing bodies to the point where they can out-hustle and "old-man" younger fighters, even though they aren't in their primes. GGG is a pressure fighter anyway, so his style usually ages a lot faster and a lot worse than traditional boxers. No athlete on the planet is in their prime at 35, even when they still perform at a high level.

Derevyanchenko isn't a journeyman and you would know that if you had watched him fight. He's a hard luck warrior who's been hard-done by on the cards and by promoters his whole career but he is very clearly talented and very well-schooled.

I don't think you know what performance means either. Ishida was a very tough fringe contender who had gone the distance with Paul Williams and Dmitry Pirog in his previous fights yet was blasted out by Golovkin in only 3 rounds. It was an impressive display of how versatile and talented a fighter Golovkin is and gave a barometer of where he was at compared to his contemporaries. It's not a big win for Golovkin, but it was impressive the manner in which he won, so it's a really good performance.

I get it, you don't like GGG and are using all the standard insults to degrade him, but at least take the time to watch some of the fighters you're talking about instead of browsing BoxRec.

GGG gets beaten by Monzon , he'd never fight Adonis Stevenson as he's much too big
