recently daniel jacobs, david lemieux, and james kirkland have all been knocked out. which one of these former hot prospects still has a chance of becoming world champion
David Lemieux reason: He got KOd Foreman style, aka after being gassed... staminatraining and with a more cerebral approach he has every chance to win a title
Danny Jacobs. His opponent was by far the best of the 3 (Pirog, Rubio, Ishida) and Danny was the greenest. Don't think anyone can blame promoters for putting on Lemieux-Rubio or Kirkland-Ishida, both prospects fought some decent fighters without problems, but Danny had a hard time with Ishe and all of the sudden he's in a world title fight? Bad mismanagement, the signs were there. Where I was never overly impressed with slow, flawed Kirkland, Lemieux being outthought and outfought in the end came as a surprise, not being able to put Rubio away he looked rather limited. Jacobs was confused by a real savvy pro working unusual angles and stuff but still did fairly good before the KO, and I feel he has a lot more to show than Lemieux (could be a champ one day) or Kirkland. He also had some personal issues at the time.
Lemiuex but he needs to learn how to pick his shots, become a counter puncher, learn boxing fundementals, not rely purely on power, listen to your corner.... I saw good defense from Lemiuex in the early rounds.. he needs to tighten it up more with more head/waist movement as well. If he doesn't want to do that, just counter punch and pick your shots... Oh and don't forget to move down to 154 your young.. later move up to 160 when your body grows a little more. He has the power, but now he needs a lot more.
