WITHOUT A SHADOW ITS TITO. Roy was mowing through everyone untill he got caught using steroids in 2000, and then unexplainably became very ordinary. If I was any one of the fighters who lost to roy pre-2000 I'd be very angry that I'd been cheated against. ROy isnt the fighter everyone thought he was and anytime after 2000 he would have been beaten by Hopkins and Calzaghe.
One of the best steroid users in boxing. Or do you mean his drug-free performances against Tarver and Johnson ?
Along with those Sanitation workers he fought 15 world champions beating 14. Beat a prime Hopkins(Please folks stop with the green stuff, he was 28 had more pro fights and 94-5 am. record) who dominated Tito. Beat a prime James toney or was 1 or 2 p4p at the time convincingly...Tito lost to most against DLH...Jones has defeated 4 hall of famers(Hopkins, Toney, McCallum, Hill)...other champions like Jorge Castro, Jorge Vaca, Eric Lucas, Reggie Johnson, Antonio Tarver, Lou Del Valle, Vinny Paz, John Ruiz, Clinton Woods, and Montell Griffin. Won world titles at 160, 168, 175, and heavyweight while Tito only won Title at 3. Was by far more talented than Tito, Roy Jones may have been the most physically gifted fighter in boxing. Seems to me while you were on Tito's frijoles u 4got to check out Roy Jones.
DAMN ya'll, making me pick between 2 of my favorites.... Roy PROBABLY wins in terms of legacy, but it's really subjective and what you like in a fighter. Roy always struck me as an Underachiever, yet Tito was the ULTIMATE Overachiever. Roy is blazing fast, yet didn't challenge himself in his PRIME the way Tito did who was kinda slow and plodding... Roy obviously has better skills, BUT I couldn't buy Roy's fight because he wasn't what I really look for in a fighter, yet I've seen EVERY Tito fight LIVE since 1996......... When Roy fought, you always thought "What a talent, but he really should be fighting someone else. Yet when Tito fought, you ALWAYS thought he could lose due to his weaknesses and LEVEL of opposition, so when he would win and most of the time RUIN SOMEONE'S CAREER, it just felt like boxing at its best TO ME... One other thing, even though I get upset when Tito loses then retires, look at who he's fought since coming out of retirement. Ricardo Mayorga, Winky Wright, and Roy Jones.........I mean WHO DOES THAT???
Actually the sanitation worker WAS a world champ and is still a contender now. He neglected to mention it cuz HE DOESN'T know that:deal
Gee, I had no idea that Hopkins, Tarver, Toney, Hill, Griffin, Woods, Paz, McCallum and Ruiz worked in sanitation and law enforcement. atsch MW champ, SMW champ, LHW champ (one of the best EVER at that weight), HW champ. Its not even CLOSE. Jones blows Tito out of the water. You have to be ****ing kidding me. You must not know much about boxing to even think that what you said is even remotely true.
As I respect your opinion, I'm not so sure he BLOWS Tito out of the water...... Tito did have 15 defenses of the welterweight Title and 2 at Junior Middleweight champion (Didn't lose in 2 weights in his first 40 fights) While Roy is Multi-Division, Tito had a stretch when he fought 5 straight TITLE fights in 3 different weights DLH - 147 Reid - 154 Vargas - 154 Joppy - 160 Hopkins- 160 BIG difference, Roy chose to fight Ruiz when he moved up, Tito chose Hopkins:yep SMALL difference in level don't you think. Now this is legacy not whose necessarily more talented....Tito's legacy is that he took on ALL comers
while you riding Tito's Jock you dont know much about boxing. Beat 14 world champions....more than tito.....won title at 4 weights and the 2nd ever to do it 160 to heavy....more than tito and did I mention more impressive...actually beat Hopkins, Toney, McCallum, Lucas, Paz, Ruiz, Hill, Reggie Johnson etc. You know-nothings huggers should look stuff up, read a mag, or actually follow the sport
