Gotta be Calzahghe. If Ward beats Kovalev, then this becomes an interesting debate.

If Wards beats Ward and Stevenson to become lineal, Ward's would be better. Right now, Calzaghe's obviously.

It doesn't become interesting, Andre would be ahead.

Joe only fought twice at LHW.

He scr*ped a win over Bernard, and he beat Roy on points, after saying that he was shot back in 2004 and a fight against him would be pointless.

He wouldn't have to beat Stevenson.

If he beats Kovalev he has a better LHW resume.

Joe was a great fighter, but he only had 2 LHW fights.

I was thinking both. Because Kovalev's best win is a 50 year old version of the same guy Calzaghe beat in his late 30s, I think. With a win over Stevenson that would at least cover an old BHOP that Kovalev fought (compared to a fresher version who arguably beat Calzaghe) and a faded RJJ that Calzaghe beat.

I respect your opinion, but I think Kov would be more than enough.

Yes, Bernard was obviously fresher in 2008, but he was 43 then and Joe scr*ped a decision.

Joe's win over Roy meant nothing.

Kovalev has easy wins over Pascal, Bernard and Cleverly.

If Andre were to beat him cleanly with no controversy, that would have to be better than barely beating Bernard and beating Roy who was 3-3 in his previous 6, and who'd been destroyed over 4 years earlier.
