Pacquiao, Oscar and Canelo, even if they weren't in their prime, are still better wins then Jersey Joe, especially since he should have lost to Joe in the first fight.

Walcott's record is patchy for various reasons. As a general rule, because fighters fought so often back then, losses were more understandable than a straight knock on their quality.

No one it just wasn't the strongest era in terms of great fighters which isn't a knock against him as a fighter at all but it does weaken his standings when comparing to other fighters who fought in stronger eras.

 

Walcott was a depression era fighter. Malnourished and in a hurry to whatever exploitative job he could find to put food on the table.
