I don't agree with you but your reasoning is sound. Povetkin's going to get another title shot when he's 40 and has a bum knee. Then he'll get pummelled and will be one of the woulda coulda stories that litter boxing.

I ****ing hate that this fight fell through. Think how many less threads we could have had if this fight actually happened. Either Wilder wins and earns his stripes of he gets ****ing equalised and ****s off

 

I've said this many a times on this forum but I can not, for the life of me, understand why Povetkin, with the skills that he has, takes PEDs. He's a technically sound operator. Obviously theres things I dont know about him but I just dont think he's ever needed it based on his skills alone. Just a waste.

Well the Meldonium is a "borderline" PED that is not even actually proven to work. That's how marginal it is. He was quite openly taking it before the powers that be decided it was a PED and banned it. The amounts that were picked up by VADA were well under the allowable limit and frankly by all rights the Wilder bout ought to have gone on.

His getting bust for Ostarine is more iffy and I'm inclined to say he's an idiot if he was messing with it, which he may have been. It's actually pointless, because Ostarine is in no way as effective as a full blown steroid and just as tested for. He may as well have done actual gear if he was going to chance it with ostarine.

I agree - with his skills, stay the **** off the peds.
