Mosley: Cotto fought the better version but Mayweather beat him with far greater ease so that one's equal.

    1-1

Judah: both fought same version of Judah, both won clearly...that one's equal, maybe slight edge to Miguel

    2-1 Cotto

Margarito loss = Baldomir win for lineal title (arguably the Baldomir win should rank higher but I'll give Cotto extra credit here and rank them equal)

    3-2 Cotto

Mayweathers KO over Hatton is better than the Clottey barely win for Cotto

    3-3

Mayweathers domination over Marquez is at least equal to Cotto's Quintana win since Marquez looked so great against Pac at 147 and after all it turns out he can compete at the weight and that Mayweather was just too good.

    4-4

Mayweather KO of Ortiz= better than Gomez KO

    5-4 Mayweather

Mayweather KO of Mitchell= Cotto's KO of Urkal and Jennings

    6-5 for Mayweather

My first inclination was to say Cotto but after going through it all it seems obvious Mayweather's resume is at least equal with better perfomances, no losses and more dominant victories so gotta go with Mayweather after all and don't even think it's debatable after this breakdown.

We're talking about their welterweight resume, so you can throw out the Bruseles and Margarita II fights (just off the top of my head).

Better resume of victories: Cotto, by a little.
Better overall results at the weight: Mayweather, by a lot.

oh **** due I meant Mitchell not Bruseles haha my bad....and yeah forgot Margo 2 was at 154......but yeah replace bruseles with Mitchell and take out Margo 2 and you actually have a 2 point lead for mayweather seeing as the Baldmir win should rank over the Margo loss.

Once again ******s counting defeats as part of resume. Cotto lost to pac and cheato and got a gift vs clottey Mayweather easily has the better res at the weight.

Lets see... COTTOE has some STIFF, SOLID wins at WW and has only lost to HANDS OF STONE and a ROIDED MIDGET so technically he has NO LOSSES:yep

That Cotto's resume is now miles ahead of Floyd's because it has Floyd on it (even though it's just another loss). :yep

A resume includes the result and manner of victory, not just names. Either way, Mayweather.

Mitchell, Judah (06), Baldomir, Hatton, Marquez, Mosley (10), Ortiz

    is better than

Quintana, Urkal, Judah (07), Mosley (07), Gomez, Jennings, Clottey
with decisive defeats to Margarito and Pacquiao, with the former being more than just black and white. Clottey fight was closer for Cotto than any Mayweather fight at WW. Hell, Cotto's Mosley win was a close one.

Not to diminish Cotto by ANY means, but Mayweather has accumulated, in my opinion, an underrated WW resume and one that is relatively decisively better than Cotto's.
