    A quick bump.

Now that Murray is thoroughly beaten, lets address the issue of certain mental midgets saying GGG is fighting stiffs.

How can you have the best resume in the division and have questionable opposition?

Anyone voting GGG over Martinez should be temp banned for a week.

Do people honestly think Golovkins best scalps come close to wins over Pavlik and Paul Williams :nut

You can if the MW division isn't all that great. His best win is MM and while a game fighter he just isn't a great fighter. GGG is clearly the best at that weight and it reminds me of a lot of Wlads comp he is clearly beating the best at HW but the comp isn't that great. Usually a fighter in this type of division can obtain greatness by ruling for a long time. GGG of course can move up in the future but if he doesn't Im fine with it. He isn't a big fighter and clearly cannot duck fighters who aren't in his division. If you look at fighters at the top of MW starting with MM he didn't get a win vs 2 previous MW champs in the previous era, Andy Lee got beat by Chaves, Quillin ducked his own mandatory, Lemiuex got KTFO by Rubio and beat by Acline, Ndam has done nothing, and a WW is Lineal champ. Unfortunately GGG is fighting in his prime at a division of this caliber but hopefully the cream rises to the top soon and he gets some fights with some young breakout stars in the close future who do great things or go on to do great things after facing him.

Pavlik and Williams were def good wins, but I can see the other side as well - GGG has a lot more solid defenses. Plus I'd say a majority of press and fans think Sergio lost to Murray.

With Murray under his belt, I'd say they are actually about even if you count number of defenses for anything which I do. Fighting anyone world class often and not having a bad night at the office is hard.

No single guy GGG has fought matches Pavlik to be sure, but there is also something to be said for quantity - just ask BHop. So close to even at this point, if GGG can fight 2 more top10 guys this year I think he will surpass Martinez resume.

The problem with downplaying GGG's resume and pumping up Sergio's, is that somebody is going to contrast how each handled their common opponents (Murray & Macklin). At that point you've got one guy who literally demolished both, and the other who barely scr8ped by.

Which do you think looks better on a resume?

Sergio's career accomplishments are head and shoulders above Golovkin who is likely second although Felix Sturm is close behind and perhaps underrated here.

What absurd poll results. Sergio is the obvious choice here.

There isn't anyone out there other than maybe Canelo who can provide the significance equal to Sergio's wins over Pavlik and Williams for Golovkin. It's not his fault, but it is what it is.

Martinez has bigger wins than GGG, but they now have a few common opponents, and GGG beat them easier than Martinez did. I voted GGG, but I can see why people picked my man Sergio.

It's a shame Martinez isn't young and healthy enough to take on GGG. That would be one heck of a fight!
