They were both knocked out 3 times. Morrison was knocked out by Lewis, Mercer and Bent. Wlad was knocked out by Sanders, Brewster and Purrity. Sanders was a nobody who career is based on almost knocking out Rahman ( Like that prove something, Rahman sucks) and Knocking out Wlad. Purrity was a journeyman, and Brewster is slow and highly overrated. Lewis is hall of fame bound most likely. Mercer was a top level guy. Bent of course was a second tier fighter.

Morrison was dropped by other fighters because of his wide open style. Wlad for the most part faces people who dont fight back which is why he isnt knocked down or out more.

In my opinion Wlad has the worse chin of any heavyweight who has even held a belt.

These glass - chin assessments are made too easily. The ability to take concussive power without much effect is extremely rare. Yes, ther are the Holyfields or Haglers with incredible chins, but just because a fighter doesn't have a granite chin like that, it doesn't mean they get knocked out with one punch easily. Lennox is soemtimes calles chinny because he was knocked out cold by Rahman's right hand, which was as close to a perfect punch as I have seen. He did take power shots from Mercer, Briggs, Vitali and other good hitters though.

Wlad lost to Purrity and Brewster because of gassing. Brewster landed his best shots in the 3rd round, which Wlad took well, in the fifth he just collapsed. He overpaced like crazy against Purrity, lack of ring intelligence yes, but chin had nothing to do with it.. Sanders was nothing special in terms of achievement, but he did pack a punch and Wlad beat the count every time. His chin is certainly vulnerable, but not as bad as it is sometimes claimed. Before a Wlad fight, the critics always say it just takes one punch to beat him. Well, Peter who was touted as the next big KO artist had three opportunities and could do it.

Wlad was never knocked unconscious like Morrison was. He was almost killed by Mercer and Bentt had him out pretty good too. Morrison had a bad chin

I agree with the majority that Morrison's chin was probably the lesser of the two. I do however feel that the difference is not as wide as some may think and in truth neither man's chin is as weak as usually labeled. Both Wlad and Morrison have been Stopped, floored or hurt by fighters who were for the most part, big hitters. Morrison's first knockout loss was against Ray Mercer in which he was pinned to the ropes and getting hammered with an endless barage of huge shots. Its not like these guys fell victom to one punch knockouts against boxers of average or lesser power.

If I remember correctly, Wlad got up from his knockdowns everytime so technically he wasn't KO'd - the fight was stopped by the referee.

Both of these guys are flakey in the chin department. They both managed to beat some decent punchers though.

Tommy was not a heavyweight in the chin department.....a light heavy...Vlads biggest problem was reacting to getting hurt and the panick that set in and the way it drained his stamina....Golota had a good chin but panick set in....Vlad showed he overcame in the Peter fight and has learned to fight more defensively...Vlad had to overcome how to go after a guy without gassing out...Hard foe a guy over 6"6 and about 250...he has learned under many to get many rounds of sparring before a fight...It helps with stamina and with the mind....Tommy had a middleweight chin

I dont know if Wlad's chin is better than Morrison's, but he's a better fighter, albeit a more boring one too.

Morrison was never much of a contender. He was another American White Hype fed on has-beens. By far his best win was over a fat old Foreman.
Morrison had power, wasn't without skill, and showed heart, but overall he was found wanting. He blasted out some old has-beens, and that was about it. Decent young fighters ripped him a new *******.

I know he played Dirk Diggler in Rocky 9, and was the long lost cousin of Clint Eastwood, and was a good wholesome white boy (with drug and sex addiction), but he wasn't much of a contender. Exciting aggressive fighter though, credit him that.
