Since this question is not about who's better or who would win head to head, this question is easy. It's hard to argue with 25 successful title defenses of the undisputed heavyweight championship of the world. Lennox, for all that he did, does not come close to this accomplishment. Joe Louis accomplished more.
Joe Louis he never lost in his prime, and his longevity with 25 title defences. Clearly edges him over Lennox Lewis IMO.
Im going Lennox on this one, even at the time Louis's opponents were labelled the bum of the month club , fairly sure even Joe Louis himself used the term, whereas i feel the veritable ATGs that Lewis beat make up a higher achieving body of work - not taking anything away from JL who was an absolute beast , but for me Lewis achieved more
