Many people thought that Judah was finally going to fulfill his potential when he stopped Cory Spinks in February 2005,but he has not won a significant fight since. An upset loss to Carlos Baldomir made him a laughing stock. He ha since been dominated by Floyd Mayweather,Miguel Cotto and Joshua Clottey.
Andrew Golota surprised many by outclassing Riddick Bowe twice and looked to be heading for the easy victory twice, but stupidly got himself disqualified for low blows on both occasions. He built up huge early leads against John Ruiz and Michael Grant, but somehow managed to lose both fights. Also the early quit job against Mike Tyson after two rouds. His best result is a draw with the much smaller Chris Byrd another fight he could have won.

Not a dumb thread, but to me an obvious answer and that is Golota.....and BY FAR

At least Zab lost to guys who were actually better than him (Kosta, Floyd, Cotto), and he also ventured to a weight (147lbs) that he clearly wasn't best suited for.

Golota folded EVERYTIME he was under adversity, so actually I never really expected much from Golota, but I would much rather have Zab's career than Andrew Golota..

From the Bowe embarassments, the Tyson fiasco, to even the Lamont Brewster bs, Golota has been a joke to me.

Well Zab Judah was linear champion so he did make it to the top of the "food chain" in his division at one time, but was Zab a dissapointment?..sure he was because he is one of the most talented boxers of the last 20 years, but lack of continued motivation in the ring is what makes him such a dissapointment.

no offence but Judah never really had p4p no.1 potential. A SD over Witter and a loss to David Diaz in the amateurs were major question marks from the beginning.

ah yes. I must have forgotten. Either way i've seen the fight and was not impressed at all.

the point being that Judah never had the potential to be a great fighter. Merely a very good one, which at certain points in his career he was.

Golota for me, i remember hearing that he was awesome in the gym and then saw a few of his early fights and he looked the real deal, was gutted he blew both bowe fights, then of course he fell apart against lewis (who probaly did not let him get going to be fair) and that was the end of my love affair of the man, kind of lost track of him after those disasters

People forget Golota had his shot after the Bowe fights, the fact they were losses didnt impact on this.
Lennox just annihilated him straight up.

Talent & Speed dont always = greatness. If that was the case Howard Davis Jnr would be an ATG.
In the end Zab just didnt have the punch resistance, mental game or true skillset to be any better than he was. I think he has done pretty well.

I think both reached as far as they were going to. Im not disapointed with Golota because I never expected great things from him anyway and as I said Zab has done alright for himself.

It was a stinker for sure but it was because Witter was scared to death.

To be fair he took it on a week's notice - and wasn't proven at domestic leve.

He says now that he has no regrets and would have done the same again, but I am not so sure. It cast a stigma on his career that will never go away - and cemented his place as the leader of the 'Who needs him?' club.

    I generally agree.

Zab achieved the welter linear title so he reached a very high level although he could have gone higher and Golota could have been one of the better heavies over the last 25 yrs and really accomplished very little.
