    Is Marquez a natural lightweight?

Please check into a rehab clinic immediately. But before you do, check Oscar's resume for 00-10. Then continue straight on to the clinic.

You asked who the better fighter was. Marquez fought at lightweight, Castillo fought at lightweight, so I ask you again, who would have won that fight?

I made a poll with the option to vote for others, but my own opinion is that Pac is the answer. Can someone not make a poll if they have an opinion on the answer?! I don't think you understand the function of a forum dum-dum...

Marquez is a much better fighter than Castillo was. Do you think Castillo was a better fighter?

If Mayweather wasnt a valid answer he shouldnt be on the poll, I assumed all 4 fighters were valid choices.

Also, skillset is relevant to me as its a personal choice, I like fighters with a high technical ability that can adapt well to any opponent.

I understand those who vote Pac & have 0 problems with that at all but Mayweather has been the premier fighter this decade SO FAR in my eyes.
This might all change by 2010... or it might get confirmed, time will hopefully tell us.

    :thumbsup

You did nothing but attack the poster for his opinion, only because he didnt pick Pac. You are so transparent.

Pacquiao imo. He was the #1 rated at 122 (beat Ledwaba for title), beat the ring champion and P4P #3 Barrera to become the champion at 126, he should have unified the 126 titles. He then fought Morales when he was the undisputed champion at 130. Managed to KO the unbreakable chin of the Tijuana little big man twice. He fights Marquez, his poison, a second time and beats him to become the linear champion at 130. He then destroys De La Hoya at 147, someone I consider much too big and defeats a prime linear champion in Hatton at 140. 116 I was not around yet, but according to accounts around here he was linear champ there too.

Hopkins is second to me. To defend the middleweight crown 20 times is unheard of. His victory over Trinidad at the time was shocking and one of the masterpieces in boxing. He faced mandatories (no cherry picking there) and what he did after the Taylor fights, well, I am still at awe with it considering his age. I thoaght the Calzaghe fight was extremely close, Hops had the cleaner and more effective punches but I felt he gave it away to some extent - although I had it a draw / narrow BHOP victory. Floyd did a lot in the beginning and the very end before his retirement but had filler and failed to fight Tszyu for major legacy points and the 140 linear title. Close third though. I rate Mosley higher than Marquez.

In terms of skills, timing, ability, Marquez was the better fighter. In terms of chin, strength, and ability to fight on the inside its Castillo. The Marquez that made Pacquiao a cyclops for a couple days would have lost to the Castillo that fought Floyd.

Mayweather did fight 2000-2010 therefore some people may see him as a valid choice, that's why I gave them the option to vote for him, but I must also give my own opinion on the question at hand just the same as anyone else who votes.

Making decisions based on skillset is guesswork IMO, making decisions based on concrete achievement is real.

Debate does not equal attack. If you thought that was an attack you must be more sensitive than a virgin's clitoris!
