I don't think no one beats him but I would have to say

Danny Garcia, Thurman possibly in the future and Trout may make it interesting.

    What do you guys think?

no...not danny garcia....he did superb saturday night...but it'll be like canelo again vs mayweather.

i suppose khans speed could cause issues for mayweather, but thats not saying at all that he'd beat mayweather, just maybe making a better showing for a while than others i can think of....if he beats alexander it could get the big hype job...but i dont see it being in the uk at all despite what people say

Best chance probably is Adrien Broner. To beat Mayweather you need great speed and skill. Broner is the only one who comes close.

Golovkin is too big and strong for Floyd, and that fight would never happen, I don't think. Floyd wasn't even willing to fight Canelo at 154. So I don't think he's going to fight a guy who is an elite 160. Floyd is going to fight welterweights, and junior middles who can come down in weight a bit. I don't think he will ever do a true middleweight unless he thinks it is the perfect guy for him.

Truth be told, the only one who will eventually beat Floyd is Father Time. Or if he gets stupid and fights too high in weight. Otherwise, he just beat the best guy at 154. Trout could be competitive. Broner would be very intriguing. But I just don't see anyone else out there who would have that aura of having a legit shot to beat him. Garcia is a 140 guy, and he's not fast enough. Bradly would be interesting, but again, I don't think he's fast enough or strong enough. Thurman has a nice blend of speed and power, but again, speed is still nowhere near Floyd's level, nor his skills. Crawford is a good fighter, but he just moved up to 140, and again, not fast enough to beat Floyd.

Sure someone will eventually get Floyd, but that will only be because age catches up with us all, eventually.

I have to agree that it might well be age that finally gets him.

I have never seen a boxer who had such a good grasp of three minutes. He knew exactly what was required to win each round. Quite a few rounds I didn't have him winning big. Canelo was doing work; he was landing to the body and pushing the issue. But Floyd knew what was necessary and when it was necessary to shade each of these rounds. Later in the fight, Canelo simply ran out of answers to what Floyd was doing and kinda packed it in. Who can really blame him.

Anyway, I don't see anyone beating but the aforementioned Father Time... and even that may take a while.

Okay I'll bite! I realize that he got ko'd bad against Marquez, but I can't believe nobody has mentioned Pac. All of a Sudden he's worse than Garcia? I'm not saying that he would beat Mayweather, but for me he still seems to be the most insteresting match up, and here's why. Manny is somewhat unconventional, with a high work rate, sort of a smaller better skilled version of Mayorga. If he hasn't lost his punch resistance this would be a good fight that I think would have happened in 2009 if Manny wasn't with Arum.

Him being knocked out by Marquez has nothing to do with it, I just think he's way past his best times so right now he wouldn't be much of a threat to Floyd.

I agree that he's past his best, but I feel of the few legit candidates for Mayweather opponents he's up there. I think Rios has been chosen to make Manny look good and after he ko's Rios ( which he should ) there will be a return to the calls of Manny / Mayweather.

Pacquiao even faded has an outside chance. Other than that there's nobody. Floyd should do like all the other great welterweights of the past have done and move up to middleweight. He could have some competitive fights with GGG, Martinez, Barker, and Murray. I doubt Floyd steps up to the challenge though, and either father time takes him, or he retires unbeaten at welterweight. I heard that Hopkins and Ward both wanted to fight him at 160 and I see them both being victorious at that weight.

I agree with you, this could still be an interesting fight with Manny's speed and workrate. OK, he got sparked against Marquez but he was looking sharp still up until he ran into that shot.
I think to beat Floyd it's got to be a combination of speed, power and workrate. Manny has got all this and he's a southpaw.
