I think Brook would box Thurman's ears off. Thurman in my opinion depends too much on his power and his punches are too telegraphic.

Thurman, if you think he depends too much no his power you clearly missed the Bundu and Guerrero fight, he boxed their ears off.

Thurman only boxes against pressure fighters. He wouldn't box against Brook or Khan because they are the better boxers. I think his role would change and he would become more of a pressure fighter. Thurman looks sloppy boxing.

But brook has the better technique and timing,
Thurman the superior power and athleticism.

Really, you think Thurman has more balance then Brook.
I think Brook is more athletic especially with his balance, and composure.

Brook has better balance, timing, composure and he really does have the basics down. Thurman is just as skilled though if we add up most of their attributes, has more power, and is quicker. I see this as a 65-35 for Thurman.

I can see Thurman using his movement/ athleticism to frustrate Brook early. Jumping in and out with 1-2 punches here and there and keeping his distance while applying some lateral movement. I think his best bet is to win the fight early on with some big shots. If Brooks chin holds up or he can avoid being hit cleanly I can see him becoming more successful down the stretch as Thurman tires. So I'd favor Brook down the stretch or even by TKO. Both of these guys have enough power to test each others chin and utilize different strategies in the ring. They aren't stupid fighter and it's really a pick'em kind of fight.

    Both are very good boxers.

Thurman, for all his "One Time" yardbarking (which is effective self-promotion but a little too effective as it also backfires and gets him typecast as just a puncher) is really a boxer-puncher, and quite a decent one at that.

Having said that, Brook is the more skillful between them.

Brook stops him before the midway point.
