Vote objectively. Don't vote as fan of either fighter.
Pac or Marquez? Vote now and why? Discuss your view.

It's Pac because he is already tried in the l40 & up. He has proven that he did not lose power and speed while going up. Marquez is an unknown quantity in the 143.

I agree with your reasoning but got a chuckle out of this:

Pac has the better chance because of the reasons you list and the style matchup is worse for JMM than Pac. That said, JMM isn't without hope.

Both should be underdogs over Mayweather.....but I voted JMM in that he can both box and fight toe to toe.
....he can mix both, is the better combination puncher.
Better two fisted fighter, meaning he can hit equally well with both hands (Mayweather can not key in on just one particular shot.)
....and JMM's variance and shot selection is better.

......add to that, Marquez is in another league in making in ring adjustments (of which I believe will be detrimental in their chances of upsetting Mayweather.)

Given what you said is true which is debatable, I don't think Marquez has the punch resistance to take Floyd's accurately sharp and strong punches. Floyd is no featherweight like Jaca/Jandaeng nor lightweights, Diaz or Casa. Besides, this is Marquez's first foray in the l43-145 division. At 35, I don't think he can carry his speed and power like what Pac has already done.

Well, the same shot that KTFO Ricky Hatton, JMM went down in their rematch, and was up and ready to fight within seconds.........
.....and this has nothing to do whether you believe who won or lost......but if coming back from knockdowns to Manny Pacquiao and going on to have strong rounds in follow up rounds does'nt tell you something about JMM's resiliency and punch resistance, there's nothing really I can say that will convince you.

You Soriano must believe Mayweather can crack better than Pacquiao.:D

Didn't you ever say that Pac cannot KO his opponents in the early rounds in the heavier weight division like he used to do in the 122 and 126. Well, Hatton KO is exhibit A. It means Pac is getting stronger as he he goes up in weight. I believe that Pac will knock out Marquez decisively if they rematch in l40. But if he lost to Floyd, this won't materialize, expecially if by a brutal beating.
