No, Perez was just never that good to begin with.

    And Rahman was shot.

Well Tua is **** too.... Could see Perez outboxing him, and winning a decision. Wouldn't shock me one bit. (Talking prime for prime here, not now)

I didn't argue he was shot, it was the completely shot term I debated. His record post Wlad didn't suggest that at all.

And Perez, yes well he would be rubbish if a Russian KO's him quick. I promise you Tua would have had a war with Perez.

Medals are a part of someone's CV.

    Olympic gold medal
    World championships
    European championships 2x
    WBA Regular World Title
    4 title defenses

    vs.

    Nothing

In the pro game, your gold medal dont mean ****.

Tyrell Biggs: Medal in the Olympics
    Mike Tyson: None

How many people went to war with Tua?

    One. Ibeabuchi.

Now your gonna show me Perez was better than Ibeabuchi.

Pro ranks are littered with medalists that accomplished nothing. This retort was D.O.A.

Good post. Would have said Povetkin without thinking about it, but for now, based on those respective lists, I'd say Tua. Still, you have to factor losses into resume as well, and Povetkin has only lost to the current clear #1, Wlad, while Tua has losses or draws against many more boxers.

Tua but it's not like it's better by a huge margin.

He lost to Lewis, similar to the Wlad/Povetkin fight.
He lost to Ibeabuchi, which could have gone either way.
And he lost to much better versions of Byrd and Rahman.

    He hardly lost to nobodies.

Rahman was considered shot 4 years prior when Wladimir Klitschko fought him. What do you mean he wasn't shot when Povetkin fought him?
